Talking The Unofficial Disneyland Made Video Thread

I don't know if there already is a thread like this. Sorry if there is. Well anyway. How many of the Disneyland Souveneir Videos do you own? I have almost all. How many of these do you remember or own?

A Day At Disneyland (1992)

Disneyland Fun Sing Along (1991)

Disneyland Resort Video Guide (2002)

Disneyland 50th Commemerative Edition DVD (2005)

Then there is the unofficial Disney-Made Disneyland one,

Walt Disney Treasures Disneyland USA (2001)
includes The Disneyland Story, Dateline Disneyland, Disneyland After Dark, and Disneyland 10th Anniversary

The best Disneyland tape was definitely A Day At Disneyland. Come on, how many Disneyland tapes have almost half of Fantasmic in perfect format? How about how they spliced together all the rides, it was just perfect. Then I would put Disneyland USA, because I love all the nostaligic looks back at the original park as Walt knew it. Loved seeing him talking all excited about POTC!

Any others that you can think of or remember post them here, or leave your thoughts about these

I think I have all the ones you have, if not a couple more. "A Day At Disneyland" is my favorite, but they put the songs in the wrong place during the Splash Mountain segment.

I collect Disney Parks VHS/DVDs, pictorial directories, and Park harbback books.

I have every video/dvd from Disneyland and WDW. One I know you are missing off your list is the Disneyland Christmas one. I cannot remember the exact name offhand. The vids are upstairs and I am downstairs. Sometime tomorrow I will post the official name.

I have the Disney treasures one as well as the Disneyland Fun Sing Along. Does anyone else miss Vault Disney? Often I'd be up late at night and catch Disneyland shows or would set the VCR to tape them. When I saw the Walt and ambassador Pirates program on the Curse of the Black Pearl extras, it was nothing new to me.

I'm glad to own the Disney Treasures Disneyland USA dvd, but watch Disneyland Fun the most often. I actually was first exposed to it when I was in high school on a babysitting job. I had to buy it for myself and tend to watch it the night before a trip or when I'm feeling down. I also just like having it on for background music.

^^Oh man, i remember Vault Disney so well! I loved the late night/early morning programs they had on the Disney Channel, when it was good. I think in the morning around 6am they had the Ink and Paint Club which would showcase those old cartoons and things...SOOOOOO much better than the ones they show on House of Mouse. I miss the old Disney Channel...now it's all stupid sitcoms and dumb original movies. Whatever happened to the days when they had movies like Zenon and Don't Look Under the Bed?

Remember how they went through that "Zoog Disney" period with the Zether and all that? And then the Zoogs got a makeover and then they were gone forever. I liked the old Disney Channel, not the new one though.

I do remember all that, but my very favorite Disney Channel era was the late eighties/early nineties. When I was little, I loved watching Welcome to Pooh Corner and Dumbo, Fraggle Rock, Gummi Bears, Duck Tales, Rescue Rangers, TaleSpin, the Wuzzles, Quack Attack and classic cartoons with the fab 5, and yes, even Mousercize.

Not to get too OT... I also vaguely remember that the Disney Channel also used to air a show about Disneyland and WDW- I think a guy named JD Roth or something hosted. I kinda remember something about the Splash Mt. logs.

I just recently acquired the DVD version of the Disneyland Fun sing along, and I must say it is great! All the 50th stuff in the menu and all is cool.

A little off topic, but I have a 1958 Disneyland map. I believe it was the first printing of an attraction map. It has "future exhibits" such as New Orleans Square, the Haunted "House" next to the Jungle Cruise about where Indy is now, Thieves Market and a Wax Museum where the Haunted Mansion is now. It also shows proposed Lands such as Liberty Square behind Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln when that was the Opera House. There was a Land proposed on the map called Edison Square. It also shows the Rivers of America connected to the Jungle Cruise River. It's to big for me to scan (about 3 foot) but maybe I can get a workable photo to post.

OOOH! Interesting! I have a few Disney videos myself, like the Disneyland sing-a-long. I LOVE IT! I also have a few behind-the-scenes and making of videos! I want to be an Imagineer so BAD! I'm sure everyone else does too!

I currently own the Walt Disney Treasures Disneyland DVD, the DVD Guide (sold last year) and a DVD with compalations of News Reports and shows featuring Disneyland...it's homemade and I bought it off someone on Ebay. It's actually quite good, especially 'cause it was only like $8

111702 - Have have just a few posts on this site. A couple pictures in the Photo Contests. Maybe that's where.

RU42 - Any ideas on how to share the map? It would be a large file if I take it down and have it scanned. If I have it scanned and copied to CD, could I send it to you to get on the site somehow?

I'd love to see it!
I know this is ot, but I thought you'd want to know that the Wax Museum listed there was the original Pirates of the Caribbean. It was going to be a walk-through exibit of waxworks figures of famous pirates throughout history. But after Walt Disney worked on the World's Fair he had even bigger ideas. it's a small world's flume gave him the idea.
