Showing 1st timer Disneyland videos?

I'm taking my friend (never been to Disneyland before) in a couple of months.. and I want to get him all excited for Disneyland and I showed him a couple of videos.. (Splash Mountain and Haunted Mansion)... but I really want to show him Pirates of the Caribbean, TOT, and Soarin' too (heh)... but I can't help but feel like I might be ruining it... you know? =/ lol...

Tell me what you guys think... or have experienced... :)

I would wait and show him the videos after the trip; it often helps relieve the post-vacation blues.

I have a Pirates highlights video on this site:

It is not the whole ride, just a compilation of scenes, a teaser. I think it pretty much shows all the scenes, just reduced length. The full length video of the ride is 25 minutes, this one is just over 5 minutes.

Then after the trip you can come back and watch my full length video. (There is also a HM short but since you already watched the full version this might not be necessary.)

me and my brothers all hang around the room and look at the map...
haha i even take em to school for like a week...
goees good with the ladies guys... im jus throwing it out there...
chicks dig guys that have that sort of vibe... haha

There are some attractions (like the coasters) that some riders might appreciate a little bit of warning about. Overall, though, I would not show videos before your friend's first visit. There is nothing like the thrill, for example, of seeing Soarin' for the first time. (I love to ride with first-timers and hear their delight!) Leave the videos for reminiscing afterward.
