Alright, somehow barfownz and I shared the same thought! I have been thinking of opening a thread for people to post their favorite Disney pics! Doesn't have to be one at the parks... just something to do with Disney! Oh, and YOU have to be the one to have taken the photo! Make us all ooooooh... and- ahhhhhhhhhh....

I have a photo like you described displayed Below. This was my 5th posting and it wouldn't let me attach one from a url till after that.

So, Can you guess what the photo is and who I understand had something to do with it?

My guess: It's the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles. The Disney connection is that year's Olympic mascot: Eagle Sam, adapted from Disneyland's America Sings!

no, try earlier, in the 70's ..
However, I did work with the RTD crew to give patrons of the olympics bus routing info and i have one of the pins that you pictured above in an enamel looking pin set in a gold metal type setting. I'll scan and post it later.

The previous photo that I posted was of the 1976 USA 200th Birthday celebration that was presented by Disney. In this photo I was there early and took this showing setup. The Coliseum was filled to capacity with various southern CA Schools and Organizations. The show included the usual mix of Disney characters for that time.
This next photo is , I guess it's looking toward Main St. Plaza Turnaround (please correct me on the view). I took it during or prior to July 1979 as that was the date printed by fotomat on the slide.


Another slide dated July 79 by fotomat.
To get these type of shots I got on the skyride, people mover, or a Kodak Picture Spot.
