would it be possible for everyone to post pictures of vintage rides, because I would also like to see them!

I replied to this in the other thread but I thought people would be interested to know that the Wax Museum on your old map is actually the original Pirates of the Carribean concept. That's why it together with Thieves Market. I was originally going to be a walk-through waxworks of famous pirates. After the '64 Worlds Fair and the success of it's a small world and Abraham Lincoln, it became a flume ride.

barfownz quotes:

- Ouch, that hurts LOL. My parents bought that map for me on my first trip to Disneyland. My kids tease me that I am as old as Disneyland. It may be true, but I'm still the biggest kid in the park. We tried to get to Disneyland on my 50th birthday, but things came up and I couldn't make it. That's when I started spending time at this site. My way do doing the park from a distance. So, what will I do? I'll use my imagination and change my birthday to whatever day I can make it. Just like Mickey said "Some imagination, uh"

Hang on to that map. It's a personal treasure and memory of your grandparents. Thanks for the note.

The map is copywrite 1958. I think it sold for a few years. My parents bought it at the park. I can barley remember the trip. I think I was 5 or 6 at the time. Can't remember much of Frontierland, but I do remember the skull rock and pirate ship.

I have some from 1985 and some from the 35th anniversary? My family and I are probably in most of them but I can probably find some area pictures that we took on those trips. I also have some during the Disney Afternoon Block Party back in the early 90's or late 80s, I dont remember which year.
