Im Sad (Audio Materials on VF)

Most of the WONDERFUL audio has dissapeared from this site!, what will we do? what happened to it? im so sad

In the updates with the move we stated we were taking our downloadable audio materials offline in the best interests of protecting the site for the future. We will be offering more materials in FLASH format for your listening pleasure. Please be patient as we update our site.

weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! but one question, will it still be available for listing on Windows Media Player? because i just found out that i can use my little playlist of 4 songs that are able to stay on a playlist after they are played and or the media player is closed while playing a computer game WOOHOO! so might i make a suggestion by having a playlsit available when you get the flash player thingymabober up and running?

No, the audio materials will use Flash and NOT Windows Media Player.

So Chris are you making VF entirely un-downloadable? Wasn't clicking 'save target as' the strategy for easing the bandwidth issue?

The videos will always be downloadable, we are just moving away from downloadable audio materials. Bandwidth was never a problem with the audio materials, just the video materials.

The audio we will have on the individual attraction pages (flash) will be short samples, while the longer-length materials will be available at the new Visions Fantastic Radio (Which is now in limited operation).

Then I would suggest we do something like RU did for his PoD video. Make the video up for d/l and that vid's audio up for d/l as a seperate file. I, for one, really prefer the audio as it lets me listen to what I want while I'm doing other things. Can that be a workable deal for all videos posted?

Yes, the idea is to start offering "live" recordings for Download. There are a few in the Gallery right now and we have plans to add more. However, we can no longer offer the 'source quality' audio for download in the Gallery.

JSL: Please don't "beg" for materials we can no longer offer. We have reasons for what we do, and while we want to make everyone as happy as possible, we have to do what's right to protect ourselves.
