Very steady, very clear picture but the dubbed audio seemed a hair off and, as almandot points out, not HD spec. I'd be great to have an HD version of Fanstasmic.

Thanks for the link tho' k_peek_2000.

The video looks great, but by nature of it's resolution, it was SHOT in Hi-Def, but it's not being presented in hi-def. He would have to be presenting that video in another format that actually supports hi-def resolutions, which Myspace does not support.

Correct me if I'm wrong but:
Keeping the definition simple and avoiding super technical details, HD is basically: 16:9 aspect ratio with 1080 or 720 lines of resolution.
Myspace is way below that.

I dont think all HD needs to be 16:9. I have a hand held camcorder that I always film in 16:9 and its nowhere near HD quality.

So It should of been put on Quicktime and not crummy myspace.

Not to drag this out, but, in an HD picture, black pixels can mat the top/bottom or sides of the picture which still carries the full 720 or 1080 line resolution. This is why you see black bars watching a wider aspect film on HDTV and with a non-HD simulcast on an HD signal.

It sounds like your non-HD camera just uses a blacking-out technique to get a 16:9 look without the resolution. But keep in mind it's both resolution AND aspect ratio that define HD, not just the 16:9 aspect ratio.

^^ "View Source" comes in handy doesn't it! Nice that they let you tag that flashvars argument onto the src url so easily and don't check how the var is passed nor the referring document so that they could make a redirect call to their controlled page environment! </geekmoment>
