Well, the stadium isn't as intamate, but neither are the traffic control CM's barking at you at Disneyland!

Personally, I heard both soundtracks before seeing any of the shows. I have seen the Disneyland show, but not the WDW one. My biggest complaint, was that the show is too dependent on the water screens (the creativity, innovation, and all around newness of them wore off about 1/2 way through the show), so if the WDW is even more dependent on them, then I bet that I will like the Disneyland one more.

However, the WDW show (according to the soundtrack) stays closer to what I believe the intended story of what Fantasmic is supposed to be. The symoblism and flow if the show are more evident in the WDW show. I feel that the Disneyland show has a bit more holes in it.

^ You get guest control CMs barking at you at WDW too. They weren't exactly quiet as we were all herded up that hill to the stadium. WDW's Fantasmic! is TONS more dependent on the water screens. There are several points where DL is watching something live while WDW is watching random characters doing their movie thing on the water screens. And what flow exactly are you talking about for WDW Fantasmic!? IMO WDW Fantasmic! was utterly devoid of flow. Things like the Jafar snake have nothing at all to do with anything & it's such a drawn out scene with such a silly ending. DL's Fantasmic! might not make 100% sense, but everything does flow together. Oh, and our dragon is 3 villians, not 8.

Not to be mean if you like WDW's Fantasmic show, but thier steamboat kind of looks like a floating box.

I actually like the WDW version better even if they are too dependent of the water screens and I think the Jafar scene is kinda cool and their steamboat is supposed to look like an actual steamboat and I think its better that at the end that Sorcerer Micky is on top of a mountain than a roof

Ok and the Mark Twain is meant to look like a ... microwave? Sorcerer Mickey's on the top of their little mountain, ok, great, that doesn't really forgive the immense amount of suckiness leading up to that scene.

-- Peoplemover "Why is that mountain even there in the first place?" Matt

That mountain makes sorcerer mickey so high and far away. And I don't like the flares at the end they do because of it. The just sort of shoot off to the side just sort of launching off the sides and clearly a stage show away from you. Disneylands shoot up and criss cross but more importantly it's all in your face.

What amuses me is apparently WDW's version is supposed to have a plot.
So... ten minutes of villian displays is... plot... Whatever floats you small steamboat then.

Personally, I think there are scenes in their version which I consider a waste of time. The bubbles montage, for instance. If I wanted to take a small nap during the show, that would be it.

DL's fantasmic is not a waste of time. The water scenes are not that long as WDW's.

Kudos to wdw on having a "rained out" show though. A little mini-version of fantasy waters and then some of the fireworks thrown in.

Well, yeah we are a little drowned out on that bit. I'm going to get my three videos and multi-edit them. So maybe even WDW will look good.

It'll need more than that!
