Radio - General VF Radio Request System now open!

We are proud to announce the grand opening of the VF Radio Requests System!

The VF Radio Request system allows each VF User a chance to request a song from the VF Library (currently over 1500 titles). The titles range from full attraction ridethrus, to popular Disney soundtracks.

Here's how the system works. First, load VF Radio into your favorite media player by clicking on this link:

Next, go to the VF Radio Request link:

VF Radio Requests

You must create an account to make requests. You must use your own VF username to create an account. You also must use the same e-mail address for both your VF username and your VF Radio Request username.

Once logged in, you can browse the library by title, author, album, etc. You can also browse the latest additions or view a listing of recently played material (Playlist History). Also, 10 random tracks are listed for your listening pleasure.

The cookie that keeps you logged in expires after 30 minutes of idle use, so you will have to log in again if you keep the page open. The page automatically refreshes to update the playlist information.

To request a song, simply click the REQUEST button next to the title. The song will then be queued and played on the radio. Keep in mind that any other material queued before yours will be played first. Do not request the same song multiple times!

And now, some guidelines:

1. Please limit your requests to 3 titles per hour. If you're going to play a very long sound file of 15 minutes or more (queue music, loops), limit your request to ONE title per hour. Excessive use of the Request system may have an impact on your VF account. Don't abuse it!

2. At any time a VF Staff Member may alter the current playlist if we feel a particular title is being overplayed or a particular user is abusing the Request system. Requesters must follow the instructions of VF staff at all times.

3. Do not ask in the Shoutbox, boards, PMs, etc, for copies of material played on VF Radio. Doing this may result in action being taken against your account.

4. Please be considerate of other listeners. Do not request the same title that has just played several songs ago. Click the Play History link on the left column to see what has played recently.

5. Limit your total request time to no longer than 25 minutes of run time per hour.

You're welcome. I want to stress that everyone needs to follow the rules of no more than 3 titles in an hour period, or one title of 15 minutes in length or more. This will prevent huge bottlenecks in people getting their request's heard.

Yeek! I'd thought the radio was majority-vote based, ended up selecting something like ten songs before I read this. lol I ran back and removed my votes for all but three. Sorry about that! :)

I was mortified when I read the rules and realized what I'd done wasn't putting my vote in for favorites but asking the songs be played right then! LOL
I usually read the rules first, but I've been so excited since finding this place I've had a hard time not going spastic! :)
We're going back to Disneyland in October and I'm already asking every day "Do we pack yet?!" and seeing all the music from rides and attractions I miss just about did me in.

Edit: Trust me.. I'm not normally this hyper and bugnuts.. I feel like someone shot me full of sugar and caffeine, I just noticed my posts are starting to show it! lol

Heya, i was just wondering, well whenevr i try to log in to the music request thing, it tells me that my passwords incorrect and so i have to go through the whole process of changing it and everything and then i open a new window and go into it and it still tells me that i am wrong, well i was juat wondering if you have to have a seperate log in for the music thing because eah its really frustrating

i've noticed that it doesn't log you in even if your password is correct if you're accessing it at visionsfantastic.com/tunez you have to go to www.visionsfantastic.com/tunez having the www. in front, or lack thereof rather, seems to mess up a lot of hotlinking and other software these days. you'd think the software would have thought to account for something like that heh

The VF Radio Request System houses separate username/password combinations than does the rest of Visions Fantastic. You will have to register separately to use the VF Radio system (we recommend you use your same username/password combination, to make things simpler).
Note that as of 02/02/2009, using the same username for both VF and the VF Radio Request System is now required. As of 02/02/2009, it is against VF Radio Request System guidelines to operate a username not identical to a current VF username.
