constantly preloading tracks?

I'm a longtime listener of VF radio here.

But the last three days, the tracks do not seem to want to load. It seems to constantly be preloading tracks. I didn't change anything on my system in the past few days and am opening the player up the same way I always have without any previous problems.

Any thoughts?

Hi Gary,

Try deleting your temporary internet files. (Clear cache). What's happening is that the clip already exists in your temporary files and the flash player gets confused. Let me know if you're still having trouble after deleting your cache.

Thank you for the response Chris.

I went ahead and cleaned out any temp files I had through the Disk Cleanup utility and from the IE Internet Options menu, but to no avail.

Is there some other option for cleaning out the temp files I’m missing?

You could also try clearing Cookies, or adjusting the settings in your Temporary Internet Files (have them update on every visit the page).

It's a pretty widespread glitch with this particular music player, and hopefully once the new version comes out, they will have addressed this problem.

I went ahead and deleted the cookie at the same time as the temp files and that didn't work either.

However, I have good, albeit slightly embarrassing, news. I was able to get the radio working again. Here’s how. My PC is one of those which is constantly running; I never shut it down. After thinking about it for a couple minutes, a potential solution came to me, reboot. It worked. I’ll mark this down on the ol’ bonehead list. Lesson to all: Never overlook the obvious.
