Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest DVD Press Event

Today, VF Co-Webmaster DaddyB and VF staff member Neo are attending a Press Event at Disneyland. The Press Event is to cover a contest that was given during the release of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. Information about the winner is as follows:

Pirates 2 DVD Sweepstakes - Winner Info:

In celebration of the Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man?s Chest DVD released in December of 2006, a ?Become a Disney Pirate? sweepstakes was conducted. The unique grand prize features Walt Disney Imagineers ?Pirating? the winner?s likeness into a work of art in the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction at Disneyland Resort.

The lucky winner from hundreds of thousands of entries nationwide is Jenifer Greenwell of St. Petersburg, Florida. In 2007, she traveled to Disney Imagineering?s headquarters in Glendale, California to have Imagineers interpret her likeness as a Pirate in preparation of bringing it to life in the legendary Disneyland attraction.

On January 29th, 2008, Jenifer will visit Disneyland Resort to see her caricature blended into the queue of the attraction. Imagineers will reveal their artwork during a special moment where she will see their work come to life. The artwork will be seen by millions of Disneyland guests until January, 2009. In addition to winning her likeness in the attraction and the two trips to California with 3 guests, Jenifer will experience an over-the-top visit to Disneyland with a VIP tour guide, meet the Park?s Captain Jack Sparrow, plus take home the original artwork developed for the attraction.
