Certain banner ads

Now, I'm not really upset about banner ads being on the website here, but why do they keep showing the same one over and over again? And why are they always about Disney World more often than not?

The ads are usually based on the content of the page you're reading, but ultimately we have no control over where and when they display. As for why they are hawking WDW, they obviously have a much larger group of people their trying to entice as opposed to the local-centric Disneyland. If they really bother you, consider a VF Premium Membership - you will see no more ads.

Well, I'm not really bothered by ads as a whole, just that one particular ad that shows the Lion King characters. I kinda liked the ads showing the vacation videos, showing Mickey's eyes moving around. And I've seen the Premium Member solution.

you should consider yourself lucky: when I'm trying to listen to music, random talking would just come up, so I had to turn the audio off. then some weird Arco banner kept following me as I scrolled up or down the page

VF has no banners with sound or banners that scroll with the page. If you are seeing ads like this when you're signed into VF, you likely have a program that's installed Adware on your machine. Your machine is infected with spyware. VF's ads are limited to one banner above and one banner below. No popups, etc.

weird... I'm not seeing them anymore so I guess the McAfee disk must have worked well...

It's not that I don't like the ads on here, but the D23 expo ads would always show and I get it's trying to promote the expo but I felt like it was teasing me because I couldn't go. It's not that I didn't like the ads, I didn't like how it was showing that same ad for like, 2 weeks straight.
