Default Would The Great Movie Ride Be a Good Addition to Disney's California Adventure?

Since they're trying to apologise for California Adventure's less-than-amazing past, I'm thinking the Monsters, Inc. attraction has to get the heave-ho as well. Now I was just thinking that since The Great Movie Ride is such a hit at Disney's Hollywood Studios that maybe another version of that attraction could overtake Mike & Sulley in Hollywoodland. Of course this attraction would require a lot more room, & I think the Millionaire building & some of the backstage areas would be the answer to that problem. I know this attraction would require permission from rival studios to include scenes based off their movies but I think this attraction could be a big hit here as it is in Florida (along with the fact that this attraction would bring all those famous scenes back to where they originated.) Anyways do you think The Great Movie Ride would be able to expand into Disney's California Adventure?

It'd be a terrificly awesome addition to DCA, but there's nowhere close to enough room for everything necessary for the DCA version to not be a cheap knock-off of FL's version.

Plus the designers would gawk at the datedness of the movie lineup in the current GMR and try their hardest to put all latest Pixar & Miley Cyrus stuff they possibly can into it.

Great idea but, no room

Still it would be pretty cool!

Well, if you think it a little, they could re-imagineer the entrance and exit to Muppet Vision 3D, get rid of the NEW sitting area for the Award Weiners to fit in those. Then, get rid of the stage in the middle of the Hollywood area, and use every single square inch from Muppets to the restrooms on the side of the Hyperion, pretty ambitious, but it can be done, but, I really doubt that Disney will even consider throwing away so much dough, being in the middle of a billion dollar refurb

I'd love to see it somewhere in the park. Someone mentioned a Muppets tie-in to the ride, I think that would be a great idea. If only there were room for it. Well, the Great Movie Ride is a good excuse to level that monstrosity they call a Bug's Land.

i've grown to like DCA over the years and i think the more we add attractions to the park the more entertaining it will be. i think The Great Movie Ride would be an awesome addition the the park! if room is a factor i would just get rid of the muppet show and monster's inc. ride. seriously there's nothing special about those ride and that entire area could be used for the new ride. i mean com'on it fits into the whole theme of that area! monster's inc is sooo random! yea, that was my thought of the day.

I think the same GMR would be an awesome addition. It was one of my favs when I went to WDW for the first time.

Monster's Inc. was a disappointment. Anything new and actually good would be an improvement.

I think the Monsters Inc ride is in a terrible location in the park but I actually kinda liked the ride itself. I think the props and visual gags through the ride are pretty cool. It just doesn't really make me think Hollywood when I see it.

I am still trying to figure out why of all things they decided to make an entire California based theme park in California but I suppose I am not the only one to think that either.

Personally I loved California Adventure, but I am from NJ and this past trip was the first I had ever been to California. I think the GMR would work but I would hope for an original attraction. Some reason to visit Cali instead of Florida.

I am not sure why they tried so hard to force a monster inc ride though...I guess it was a quick fix. They added Monsters Inc Laugh Facotry to Tomorrowland in Magic Kingdom and that just makes no sense either.

I think Monsters Inc could be a great "alternative" experience to the Haunted Mansion for the ounger set who would be too scared. Like make a Monster House or something that is not scary but sorta the same style...Just what I think

It was a quick fix. Google search "Superstar Limo" and all will make sense. All Monsters Inc AAs are former robotic celebrities from that worse-than-your-nightmares Limo.
