Default What do you like about California Adventure?

I'm going to go ahead and revive this old thread, I give full credit to who ever created it in the first place.

Anyways... DCA gets a lot of bad reputation, but there 'is' good things about it. Name some things you like about DCA.

From a working standpoint, the shorter hours, laid-back atmosphere, less strict and stressful, the larger paths/less crowds (ie: you can actually walk), and the lack of getting run over by as many strollers, the actual presence of area music everywhere.
From a guest standpoint, everything mentioned above except the shorter hours.

I love a lot of the rides and find many of the shows to be way more fun than people say they are (if you haven't seen Golden Dreams, you're an idiot in my book--that movie is one of the few made by Disney not released in theaters that deserves to be sold, and they give it to your for free with the price of admission!).

I also love the music, the landscaping, and the overall vibe of the park. Bash them as much as you want, Beach Boys and Elvis are awesome.

Disney's California Adventure park is awesome. I love the music around Paradise Pier. But most of all I love the Tower of Terror, and California Screamin!.....who doesnt? :D

The #1 best aspect of California Adventure is beating the crowds at Disneyland. As soon as you walk past the Golden Gate the paths are completely uncongested and free to walk on, guaranteed. That being said, I could go Soarin', Screamin', and Terrorin' over and over again. And yes, the atmospheric music is very pleasant, and Paradise Pier music is annoying to the ppl I go with but I actually like it, though I am partial to DL's, but hey, you can't go wrong with the Beach Boys.

I like the landscaping. It has many qualities of a true DIsney Park. It also can take me anywhere I wish to go in the grand state of California. A homage, if you will. I love the mountains, and Golden State reminds me of just that. It's really cool. My parents are taken back to childhoodhood when they see the boardwalk, the games, the roller coaster... It's bliss... n_n

By that I assume you mean Millionaire? Ever since the ties between that show and ABC were broken, they had to take out the attraction. -_- I wanted to go on it too....*pouts*

Just like everyone else, I love the relaxed, openess of DCA, especially after the craziness of DL. I love HPB, you just can't beat the Animation Studios!

Unhappy

I Love tot, Soarin, Grizzly, Mullholand Madness, California Screamin, and just about everything else! Especially the animation building. I don't get why some people despise the park so much......

I like the fact that it was such a failure... Just goes to show that a park needs to be built around the theme, attractions, and entertainment... and not around the shopping.

Dont get me wrong... i like DCA and all, but it just makes me feel all warm inside when people who challenged walt's master plan for a theme park fail miserably and have to accept it.
