I've never been to Disneyworld, and I can't count the number of times I've been to Disneyland since I've lived in California my entire life. After watching the videos of TOT from Disneyworld I was wondering if anyone knew why the DCA one isn't the same? It looks like it would be really cool to have the ride move into the hotel and not just up and down.

This is odd. I haven't heard anyone address at all what I said, it's all just been "you obviously get more at WDW" & "WDW's is better" & no one has said why. I've pointed out DCA's Tower's noticeable superiorities over MGM's. Simba_one I gave you a counter to your arguement that you "obviously get more at WDW's Tower" and you just repeated yourself back to me. Maybe you could elaborate a little bit.
And yes, DCA's Tower has shorter lines because of less park attendance. From a rider's perspective, isn't it a good thing that you're in a park w/ less people, waiting in a shorter line & riding a better ride? Is that not better than being in a hot, humid, crowded park w/ consistent wait times for their inferior Tower around 60 mins? -- Peoplemover "Football's back...yay" Matt

In response, yes, you can see the track on the floor at the WDW Tower but that just shows how Disney get better at creating attractions with time. Both Tower's are totally different - and there's different things to like and dislike about each one. All I am saying is that you >appear< to get more for your money at WDW because... A) The ride is physically longer - might not be a good thing in some peoples eyes though. The drops are pretty much the same at both Towers - in how you are dropped - obviously you experience a completely random mix of drops now so every ride is different each time you ride. The ride through part just builds the suspense in the elevator even more - unlike DCA's which compared to WDW's ends rather quickly and doesn't build any suspense in the lift itself - that's when they can play with you... you're in that elevator and you're not getting out so why not move you about a bit and make the ride even more scary?! B) IMO the queue is better at WDW - DCA's Tower has most of the originals features but doesn't play on them as well. C) I have always liked (and got used to now) the ride through part at WDW's Tower so going on DCA's was at first a bit of a let down for me. D) The view at WDW is in ways (and in different peoples opinions) better than DCA's. But please remember I have ridden WDW's Tower FARRRRRRR more times than I have DCA's so my reasoning may be wrong - or appear wrong to you. I have been on WDW's Tower at least 5 times the amount I have been on DCA's so I have not experiences DCA's Tower as much as I have WDW's. |

Yeah, I'm basically the same way with DCA's, so we're most likely off-setting w/ familiarities. That's ok, I just wanted to get across that neither one was just obviously better than the other.

...I know I would. Remain Seated.com is in its final prep stages, and will reopen....I cant promise soon, but it wont open too far in the future! Lol. Dont worry though...it should be VERY cool. I asked for the tower of terror video from Brisal, the owner of Remain Seated, but for some reason AIM said it was going to take like, 2.5 hours, so I said "no thanks, I'll just get it when the site is up." |
