Default TOT Question

Is Tower of Terror better at night? THe last time we went to DCA, it was closing late at night, but I was still to scared to go on TOT - I am terrified of heights and hadn't psyched myself into going yet. I got on the next day - in the daylight and absolutely LOVED it. I think that I felt safer being enclosed, sort of. Anyway, I am guessing that it must be wonderful at night... is it???

I might even manage the Maliboomer next trip, because I finally went on Drop Zone at Paramounts Great America (eww) and survived. Twice.

I only went on it at night (gradnite!) and it was kind of scary, but I think it'll be a little more scary during the day because you could see how high your up, you could see all the buildings in the distance. And at night you could really only see all the places that are lit up...but either way it's a lot of fun...

Know what would be funny =D If after you drop there's one of those sliding doors that open just like when you go up, only there's an upside down scene of the streets in China or something

Wow - that one on top of the Stratosphere would be pushing it for me. I did go on the roller coaster, which was VERY scary but only because of how high we were - as far as a coaster - it was weak. With my eyes closed, Casey Junior seems scarier!

I've ridden everything on top of the 'Strat' as I call it. My personal favorite was X-Scream & of course I had to ride it in the front row.
I attached a thumbnail that gives you a fairly good idea what X-Scream does. *evil laughter*

Wow - thanks for the scary picture!!! I knew that I was glad I didn't go on that one!

When you went, did you just buy the wristband? I couldn't believe the prices if you bought single rides!

^ I got a little package where for $17 you could go up & ride both X-Scream & Big Shot while you were there. If you wanted more rides, they were $4 a pop. Costs money yes, but it wasn't anything too eye-popping. I'd just fed the DDR machine $6 earlier. Seeing as I knew I wasn't going to be spending all day (I had other coasters to tackle) I took advantage of that. I ended up doing 3 rides on X-Scream, all in the front .
