Default ToT - which library leads to the stairs?

So every time I ride ToT I always get the right library. Does the other one lead to the stairs? If so which line leads to it? I think we always use fast pass. And where do the stairs lead? To another set of elevators?

Both Stand-By and FP are sent into which ever library is currently loading. There isn't a rule where all FP'ers are sent into the right or left library only.

It's the left library that goes up the stairs to the basement where you board your elevator. Then when your elevator returns into the basement, you'll go back down the stairs and exit back to the outside world.

...what?

Well, we always get sent to the right library too. The left one leads up the stairs. Well, we eventually got curious to see the upper level, so we hopped over to the line that leads upstairs, lol. Well we did wait for the ones getting out of the left library to get ahead of us, and followed behind... I don't see any harm in that.

The libraries I believe they fill up one, then when it's near full, they lead guests to the other, or maybe depending how much room is left and how much people are in your party.

one thing I have never gotten, when you are waiting in the final area, and you've gotten your number and everything. while the downstairs is loading, is the upstairs experiancing the ride, and vice versa. cause when im watching from the street, I can only see one elevator go up at a time. my dad thinks both go up at the same time, and thats why there are 3 doors that open. can anyone clarify this for me.

One at a time, there are three doors so u can see the rest of DCA shoot upwards. Thats why there are three doors, if there was one door u'd see dca shoot up for about a second and then its over, if there are three its even more thrilling!

Do they use the same elevators for the upstairs and downstairs?

No. While the upper level and lower levels both use the same 3 elevator shafts, there are a total of 6 different elevator cars used onstage the attraction, one corresponding to each load/unload position. For instance, Shaft A upper load will use one elevator, while Shaft A lower load will use a different elevator car. In bilevel operation, while the "upper" car (the elevator car originating from the upper load level) will be traveling through the ride cycle, the "lower" car will be "parked" at the load/unload position. As the "upper" car returns to its load/unload position, the "lower" car will enter the main Shaft, and the cars will switch positions. This is why you travel horizontally backward before ascending, and horizontally forward at the end of the cycle, before unloading.

i would guess not. if news got out that the top was more thrilling, then no one would ride the bottom...besides, Mission Space in Epcot was the first time Disney offered two experiences of the same ride. So i'm putting my money on it being the same thrill level.

The Queen Victoria side leads up the stairs, while the Prince Albert side is down stairs.

I've ridden the ride at least 20 times now and I've never gone downstairs, it's the left side that goes upstairs.

I got to go both upstairs AND downstairs this year. Downstairs on my very first ride ever which was last thursday, and then upstairs on my second ride, which was saturday. Now this confuses me, does the top part of the room act as another story? or is the entire room, upstairs and downstairs count as only 1 story? Since the hotel has 13 stories.
