Supposedly, Epcot's Soarin' is going to get digital projectors installed for the new movie in 2007. It's more than possible that they will have Soarin' Over California in one Concourse and Soarin' Over Wherever in the other. That means that they might digitize the California reel and DCA could get the same thing.

Amazing how WDW's Soarin' is 4x as young as DCA's is, and yet those projectors are already virtually worthless. Me thinks some cost-cutting was used in there...

Mission: SPACE has extremely high capacity, while Soarin' has somewhat more modest capacity. And don't even get me started on Test Track.

EPCOT - Even Programmers Can't Operate Test Track

^ Creative acronym there. I know Space has more capacity but unless they really have no idea what they're doing with Soarin', there's no reason for that big a discrepancy.

A cynical person could say that they went with that theme in order to justify having a bare queue, and in effect, save money. It's a bit of a stretch though.

So, they are thinking of either retheming it to a more technical and machine-related landscape (I LOVE this idea!), or retheming it to a purely Golden State landscape with WAY more trees and plants.
Both ideas are great and could really bring the area much needed attention!
I disagree that the Condor Flats area doesn't work, but I would love to see an expansion of the GPRA. That's the only area of the park that deserves an expansion, IMO.

I agree with the remark that condor flats is not themed very well. the whole "desert" thing does not come across at all. and the only thing that's really worth seeing in condor flats is soarin'. this would be very neat.

My favorite attraction of any kind any where! I love Soarin' and never tire of it. On my last visit 2 weeks ago though I suggested they make another film over soaring over the rest of the USA and put it on a rotating basis with this one.

Soarin' at Epcot has a much worse queue theme, it is all big long lines, in big long rooms, and blue neon lights.
