I'm glad that they are finally using the classic cartoon theming somewhere in the parks.

For those who can't see the concept art: I believe you should be logged into VF at the time in order to see it, because I have it uploaded to my VF album, and you must be logged into VF in order to view those images.
Anyways, if it still does not work for you, just click on this URL:

Geeez, must I do everything.......lol

And they aren't just swapping out the sun face and thats it. Each of the cars are getting a Fab 5 makeover, with 1 of 5 cars for each character. They are also redoing the entire queue, as well as adding 2 more loading stations. They are taking down the mickey face completely and putting up whats in that picture.

That looks pretty cool. It's good to be able to have some sort of idea of what they were going for. Before, I didn't know what to expect.

Now everyone's going to call California Screamin' "Paradise Pier."

"Oh, let's go on the Paradise Pier ride!"

I don't think so, Screamin's been around too long & Paradise Pier's been around too long for even the GP to confuse it like that.

However, if Disney was smart, they'd relaunch Screamin' under a different theme with new effects and a general plussing of the entire attraction including queue.

Wow! I had no idea they were doing that much. Two more loading stations? Geez. That's going to take up a lot of space.

Not really. All that really needs to be there is a couple holes knocked into the concrete walls there, and a couple more platforms built. If it's done right, the ride on the Fun Wheel should be much better, but also possibly much shorter.

I think that what they are doing looks great. I think they should make the sun a little bigger though..

That would be cool. I think they should do it like the HM and IASW for Christmas, but theme it to Ursula during Mickey's Trick-or-Treat Party. (Is that right?)

Well, you never know. It may happen in ten years when the Mickey head is long gone into Yesterland...

Ok are they serious?! Why would they want to replace the Mickey head on California Screamin'? It's fine the way it is. I think the sun would just look weird considering the wheel already has the sun on it. Seriously, is this just some kind of rumor?

Its not rumor to it happening but it actually happening is a different story. The budget has already been cut for pier and was redirected towards World of Color, Little Mermaid, and Radiator Springs Racers. And from what im hearing the 1.7 bill released for the DCA makeover, has been raised to 2.2 bill. Considering a price tag I heard for Memaid is around $150 million, and one for Racers is around $200 million.
