Just like TSM construction, they'll have walls up around the refurb area of the Sun Wheel.

Probably around the same time.

As am I. But be that as it may, I will not miss the old Paradise Pier. Even I who almost never questions the imagineers was asking myself " what were they thinking" with paradise pier. I guess it look a little better at night but when the renovation is through, Paradise Pier will look great both in the day and the night.

^^

Well, they want to put a mickey face on the sun wheel so that it makes the park more classic disney. However, having a mickey face on CA Screamin' AND the sun wheel would be a little odd, so they're taking the sun off the sun wheel, sticking a Paradise Pier logo (featuring a sun) on CA screamin' in place of the mickey head, and sticking a mickey head on the sun wheel. It seems a little pointless to me just to basically switch the two icons on the rides.

A lot of the Paradise Pier stuff was not done by WDI. A lot of the building and development of the rides were done by outside amusement companies like S&S Power. Imagineering just added design details. So, its not really the Imagineers fault.

Having outside companies make the Boardwalk is a good idea... since they are used to making "carnival" style attractions and the Boardwalk/Pier is supposed to portray the California "carnival" style attractions (i.e. Santa Monica)

I believe the main reason that California Adventure does not measure up to disneyland is because the difference in layout and theming. Disneyland was much more carefully planned out. The Imagineers made sure that as soon as you entered main street, you felt as if you had exited the real world and entered a world of the past. When I enter Ca Adventure, I feel as If I'm stuck in that same world that I was in thirty seconds ago. The modern theming probably has a lot to do with it.

Currently there is no set date for that. It's all just projected dates, plus they pushed the water show back a year to '10, so probably sometime within the next year.

They need to fill the Millionare, empty restaurant, and Monsters Inc. Ride with a new version of the Great Movie Ride, a bug's land (minus It's Tough to Be a Bug) needs to be replaced with the boneyard from Animal Kingdom (themed after La Brea Tar Pits) and a reincarnation of the Excavator Roller Coaster needs to be built there themed after La Brea Tar Pits. All the park and it's time period need to be moved back to the glory days of California.

And a big boneyard in the center of the California themed park would fit in how?
