I think I'd heard 9/29 on MiceAge sometime ago...

By the way, the preview center is being acknowledged (for mid-October) on the maps!

The parachute drop is a nice idea, but there are a few problems with it. A similar ride was at Knott's 10 years ago, and was removed after being made obsolete by Supreme Scream. But I remember being at Knott's and hearing the screams that would come quite frequently from that ride. It doesn't really make sense to have that kind of ride when Screamin' has scream tunnels and Maliboomer currently has scream shields, unless they plan to install some sort of similar noise-reducer around the baskets. Since the parachute drop ride basically depends on being out in the open with minimal apparatus around you and then you fall, having some kind of shield would be most unfortunate.

I had not thought of this. It sure would be a bummer to have scream shields on a parachute drop. I'm just glad they aren't replacing it with a garden of some sort. That would be much worse.

Anyone done the AP Preview? I got to do one and was amazed. I really liked seeing all the Midway concepts of what could have been. I would like to know, however, why the Scream Tubes weren't visible on the PP model's CS. Plus, although the map hints Muppets may survive, what about ITTBAB? Anyway, great place. Can't wait to see more!

Because Paradise Pier's future is the main emphasis in there right now since it's first on the list to actually be constructed into what they're displaying as coming soon. Midway Mania in its current state will be a part of that, and exists today as a kind of living example of what Paradise Pier as a whole will eventually grow to look like.

I'm so glad the Muppets are staying, or at least for a while they are, I'm going to DCA today, I'll see if I can bring back pictures of the cellar.

I'm also happy that the Muppets are still around. At least get rid of the Monster's Inc. ride. I didn't care too much for it. I still am upset that the Maliboomer will be removed but I hope that something equally as amazing will take its place.
