I really am looking foward to Cars Land, it looks exciting, even if it is themed to a Pixar movie. I'm not sure if Radiator Springs is in California but Lightning's last race takes place in Los Angeles. I am also looking foward to the new version of Main Street, I will miss the California postcard entrance, but I think the mission style buildings will look so much better. We also must remember that when Disneyland opened it had little attractions and people criticized Walt for this, but then each year something new and exciting came to Disneyland. And now it is the park we all love today, and this is what is going to happen to California Adventure. :)

forsure DL used to have a circus, yeah that was not a good idea lol!

trial and error will only make the park better, its only going to take A little Magic to fix DCA!!!

^^^That area was called Holidayland and I think it is part of the Indiana Jones Ride and Critter Country.

I read that the Paradise Peir Lagoon will be drained by early 2009.

Holidayland is now a parking lot for cast members. The baseball field for Holidayland is now Pirates and I think the Haunted Mansion now occupies what used to be the circus. I'm not entirely sure but I think that's it.

Holidayland became New Orleans Square, Indiana Jones Adventure, and Bear Country/Critter Country. I have dreamed up and designed a whole new land to replace a bug's land for California Adventure.

This new "subland" is called "Camp Grizzly" which means the Grizzly Peak Recreation area will be renamed Grand Californian Forest. Camp Grizzly's mascots are Humphrey Bear and Ranger Woodlore who make various cameos throughout the land. The land is full of R.V.s, tents, cabins, and trailers, most ripped open by bears and raided for food. It is somewhat of a mini rendition of the long forgotten Bear Country which is where Critter Country stands today at Disneyland. Don't worry It's Tough to be a Bug will remain, it will just become part of the Grand Californian Forest.

Camp Grizzly Attractions and Entertainment

1. Country Bear Revue- I have a whole thread about this.

2. Big Al's Bumper Boats- A fun filled bumper boat ride where guests pilot small jetboats around Big Al's lakeside vacation cabin.

3. Teddi Barra's Treetop Swing- (Retheming of Flik's Flyers) Climb to the top of Teddi Barra's treetop night club and hop on a golden poppy encrested swing and spin up and down, around the giant redwood tree.

4. Humphrey Bear's Picnic Spin- A trackless Pooh's Honey Hunt style attraction where Humphrey Bear steals Donald Duck's bucket of fresh fish, causing a ridethrough cartoon.
I will post a ridethrough on my Country Bear thread.

Anyhow the one change I am not looking foward to is removal of Golden Dreams, sure I am all for the Little Mermaid ride and all, but I wish that Golden Dreams could have stayed, the show was dedicated by Whoopi Golberg and is basically the only attraction that tells the story of California. :)

Having a monorail station inside DCA would also mean restricting Monorail access to guests with Park Hopper tickets only, which would make the Monorail the only Park Hopper-exclusive attraction in history. Disney has never added any additional in-park monorail stations in any of its parks since Disneyland's Tomorrowland station because of how doing that restricts access to guests holding valid admission to that park.

Building a stop near DCA but outside the park's gates, for the DGC Hotel let's say, could be a possibility, but that would add an additional stop rather close to the Downtown Disney station. That creates issues with the spacing and pacing of trains around the loop. It doesn't make good business sense to do that.

Of course they could combine the two parks and make the one day one park tickets go away. We are already seeing multiday one park tickets die down so that would be the next one.

Having 1-day Park Hoppers is a small step. Combining Disneyland Park and Disney's California Adventure Park into one combined theme park is a giant leap. DCA was built because of the desire to have multiple gates at every Disney Resort. They aren't pumping over a Billion dollars into DCA, giving DCA more headliner attractions and it's own nighttime fireworks/water show etc, because they intend to combine the two into one park.

OK it would still be two parks but linked through the monorail. I mean if they don't sell one park tickets than it is totally plausible.
