Monster's Inc. Exclusive Info!!!!!

OMG! OMG! OMG!

If you have listened to the November issue of the Official Disneyland Podcast, you will know that a REAL Imagineer named Kevin Rafferdy gave some EXCLUSIVE Info on an ACTUAL interview! If you want to hear, search Disneyland Podcast on Google, but for now, here's what he said...

"What's exciting is that we have new technology for the first time in this ride. For the Randall charachter for example we have an amazing scene where he appears and disappears kind of magically in the Monster's Inc. bathroom! By the way, this is the first time in a Disney ride where you actually ride through a bathroom! There's a little bit of trivia for you!"

"Later on in the attraction, where Boo is no longer afraid of Randall, she's bopping him on the head with a toy bat and we have Randall changing colors and patterns with each whack on the head just like he did in the film!"

"AND, for the first time we have an Audio Animatronic Roz charachter who will interact with the guests in the vehicles as they go by, creating the illusion that she will be speaking to them, real-time, similar to Turtle Talk with Crush!"

NEW INFO!:

"A lot of celebrities from the movie want to become involved with the ride, so we have Billy Crystal (Mike Wizouski), and John Goodman (James P. Sullivan A.K.A. Sully), and Jennifer Tilly (Scylia), and Steve Boshimi (Randall Bogs)! They're all very excited!"

"Everything in there is there for a reason. For example, we have 40 animatronic charachters in the attraction, opposed to Winnie the Pooh which only has 19 or 20!"

"The attraction will open early January! I don't have an exact date yet, but it will be the first or second week of January that will be the Grand Opening!"

This is VERY exciting news for me, and I hope all of you! If you want to check the whole thing out, search "Disneyland Podcast" on Google and find the Official Disneyland Podcast Website (owned by Disney). VERY EXCITING!

Monster's inc. I such a cool movie. I've been looking forward to this ride ever since I heard about it. I'm glad that it sounds so cool.

I think he said it was supposed to be one of the first weekends of January. If you have iTunes, it's also really easy to download podcasts there from the store, for free of course.

The new info is great. Every weekend in January is now booked for me. Well, I will probably just go on the Cast Member opening.

Thanks for the info! I really hope the ride is open when I go on my birthday (January 5th)! I have a ton of stuff planned for my b-day right now, but I still need to call Disneyland to make sure that everything will work out. It would be a great present to go on the new Monster's Inc. ride!

About a year ago, there was a thread about new ride ideas... and I swear on whatever you want... I had this idea without even knowing that they were planning on it. the only difference is that my ride was going to start out slow with animatronics and then speed up into a suspended fast ride for the door warehouse sequence... going in and out of doors.. .stuff like that. i even mentioned that roz should talk at you on your way out!... is there an imagineer job that involves sitting around and thinking stuff up while i eat donuts? :) haha
