ABC doesn't do Millionaire on T.V. anymore so disney doesn't own the rights to it. I hope they put something good in there though, that was my favorite attraction besides Soarin.

Actually, Millionaire is still being produced, but as a syndicated program. Buena Vista produces it, which is still owned by Disney. So Disney still has the American rights to it.

However, it is widely held that the attraction was cancelled because the attraction, though popular, was only attracting annual passholders who would come in in the hope of winning the top prize. Therefore it was not bringing in regular ticket purchasing guests, therefore it was not succeeding as an attraction.

Im not sure if it was confirmed yet, but it is said that the building will now host a temporary attraction for the Chronicals of Narnia. Itll mainly be walk-through sets, with a character meet and greet.

The attraction is still in the MGM studios though, and in fact, it is actually very popular there. The syndicated show still records there on occasion.

I really think that something substantial should be built in the building. It is a very big space, and they now have an oppertunity to fill it with something to boost DCA.

I think Millionnaire wasn't too good of an attraction... fun, but not amazing. I think a ride like the world's first enclosed Inverted coaster soring through a studio or something. DCA needs a new major attraction!

It's nice that you're thinking towards the future, but don't get your hopes up about that "World's first enclosed Inverted Coaster" attraction. That's just not Disney-like! (But if it were themed to The Incredibles....)

Actually, there is an inverted coaster indoors at Disney Studios in Florida... Rock N' Roller Coaster.

The building is huge... but not huge enough to house an entire rollercoaster i dont think.

I actually kinda like the idea to put the sets of Narnia inside it. Walking onto "real sets" takes a page out of Universal Studio's playbook, and they can continue to change the sets as new movies come out. A constantly changing studio building really does add to the feel of a backlot.

I personally was lobbying for using the building as a DCA monorail station. But I'll take what I can get.

I was glad to see Millionaire close. I really didn't like sitting through the show mainly because of my dislike for game shows. However, my whole family loved it so I went and sat through it without complaining. Seeing them smile made it bearable.

Like everyone else, I hope they put something in the building with substance. Almost anything is better than an empty building (notice the word "almost")!

They really need something good for DCA. I have no clue what, but something REALLY NEEDS to have something to attract people!

Maybe (just a maybe) This is where they plan to build The Still rumored
Cars Test Track

I Think the backlot would be a great place to put the Cars attraction.
This would really make Hollywood Pictures Backlot the place to be.
ToT, Monsters INC., and Cars all in one place=Major Crowd Satasfaction.

We can Dream.

Ya, they up and yank Millionaire out before I could get into the hot seat. I ranked number one once - just as the game ended. Close but no hot seat. I took a picture of the my seat numer at the top of the screen as I left. Anybody remember me. Seat 112. (Kidding about remembering)

No, you won trips to NYC to see the show and meet Regis, later to win Disney cruises.

And short of that you won special pins for each point level from 100 - 1,000,000. In addition for 1,000 you got a Millionaire cap & for 32,000 you got a Millionaire polo shirt. I've been fortunate enough to be in the hot seat at both DCA & WDW Millionaire games but I guessed wrong at 64,000 each time. But, I have 2 sets of pins from 100 - 32,000; 2 hats and they are different - DCA gave a black one & WDW gave a grey one a couple of you may have seen me wear; and 2 polo shirts that are both grey ones. Combined its about $400 worth of prizes. It's nice stuff & I really like the grey hat
