Default I was denied the Single Rider line.

Who would have thought this would have happened.

Statement #1: I do not feel that there should be a LIMIT on the single rider line... (I will not state how many times I went into the line) When the single rider line was closed, I did not force myself in, I waited patiently. Is it possible to abuse a Single Rider line?

Statement #2: When the line is open, it means that the merger is willing to take single riders when THERE IS AN AVAILABLE SEAT.

Statement #3: I was denied by ONE CM. The other CMs did not give me a second look.

Me and my brother stayed at DCA for 3 hours. I told him the single rider line was open and he was ecstatic because he loves the ride so much. So we went to TSMM and took the Single Rider line, knowing that there is a chance we would be separated. We did not have a problem with that.

The line was on and off throughout the afternoon...but around the 3rd hour, We were denied entry into the line...

"You boys cannot do this...come back later"

"Fine"

I took it up with guest relations and asked them their policies on the single rider system. ( I would totally lose my cool if I took it up with the offending CM) The CM stated they run their own show. I asked if there was a limit imposed on Single Rider lines. The CM said no.

I have had no problems doing this for Screamin...

So I filed a complaint against the CM at TSMM and went home not very happy.

I dunno. Maybe it had to do with how many times you went on with the single rider line.
Like the kid at a store who constantly comes back for more food samples at a sample table, it can get annoying to the person running that station; and ultimately, unfair for the other guests.

On the other hand, if there is no rule saying that there is a limit to the single rider line, I don't see why the CM would deny you... I think handling it by guest complaint was the best thing to do, at least. I really don't fully understand your situation, or the whole single rider system - but that's just my two cents.

I rode Splash with my friend single rider about 8 times in a row (with us ending up in the same log 6 out of 8 times) and the CM's had no problem with it.

hmm... weird, Single Rider doesn't have a limit, so this cast member can't deny you the line... Good thing you complained!

Default There is a logical explanation for this...

They closed off the Single Rider line yesterday because they had a major breakdown in the middle of the day & gave out A LOT of "come back later" passes. Later on in the evening around 8pm, the single-rider entryway was still crowded with guests w/ those passes in hand. Keeping that entryway open for Single Riders would have further stacked up that line, and created a situation that Midway op's have NEVER allowed since the ride's public opening.

I wasn't too happy either when I saw Single-Rider had been closed off, and the CM didn't feel I needed any explanation, but the guests aren't ever owed an explanation. Just like when any ride breaks down, the CMs aren't going to be explaining it for the entire time it's closed. All it took was a little eagle-eye spotting and watching of what was going on to figure it out.

That was weird. I never heard about problems with single-rider lines before. Everytime I use single-rider for Mulholland Madness and California Screamin', I didn't really have no problems.

Maybe the CM was in a bad mood? Or maybe the CM saw that way too many people were abusing the single-rider line.

Two Questions:

1. Were other people be let into the line?
2. why didn't you ask why he wasn't letting you into the line?

I understand that you were afraid to loose your cool but why let this get you down. Would you be less mad if he had told you why? It seems to me if someone tells me I can't do something I ask why. Maybe it was beyond his control it's impossible to know why he didn't let you because you didn't ask. I've come across some rude CM's and complained about them but to just go to guest relations because some one told you not to do something seems harsh. Another thing I have a problem with is the fact that you wont state how many times you went through the SR line. Is it possible you were abusing it and that's why you wont disclose this information? even though there is no limit. I mean I can't really make a judgment because there are two sides to every story but it seems weird that he would just tell you no, you accept it and then go and complain.

1. Yes.
2. I was really shocked I would receive a response like that...that stirred up confusion and misunderstanding and bitterness. So much was going on at the time.

I don't understand how SRL would be abused. (Single Rider Line)
