That's just scary how nearly identical to MGM Studios the new signs look.

From everything Ive seen on all the websites, Hollywood Studios looks great, and the area still looks prime for additions.

Millionaire is still awaiting its Narnia sets (this has been confirmed right?).
The Backlot Stage will be getting shows again (please bring back DUH!).
And with the addition of the Catering Car, theres always hope they'll turn Hollywood and Dine into a new attraction.

As for the signage... I guess I dont mind it too much. But I wish they just kept up with the old studio number paint jobs. I thought those looked more "hollywood".

I dont know about everyone else, but I almost forgot that they built a water tower there. I think when they built the park, they intended for that water tower to be the unoffical icon for the backlot. Now that there's new life, maybe more people will notice it.

Talking Photo of the sign and ride info

Here is the sign for those who haven't seen it yet....

and yes MI is open as a soft preview.
this means it may close down at anytime and reopen at anytime.
do not call DL for hours because they will not be able to confirm the ride is
open and will probably deny it is.
But we do have proof the ride is running, go check the VF Home page
for the link to the video of the ride or just click on the space mountain
image below to get to my video gallery

I was so surprised that they got Hollywood Studios open as soon as they have! I didn't think it'd be ready before Christmas. The area is still really spacious, but when I went, it was very relaxing. I love the new Mickey fountain they have there!

I would love to see The Great Movie Ride in DCA. It would fit perfectly in the new area. This area needs something Hollywood that's not just about Disney.

I don't care if it is a clone from MGM, DCA needs it!

there is a water tower! could someone post a pic please. One thing they don't have to use the same movies in the great movie ride. They could use like indy, starwars, they should keep that one part (don't know what movie) the part when your driver is taken off and a crimnal gets on and shoots the stoplight to change it from red to green

The already have a scene with Indy. I would change the Alien sequence to the Death Star hallway from Star Wars.

The part of the ride you're thinking of is the Gangster or Western sequence. Those are the places where there's a battle and your driver is kidnapped. It alternates between the Gangster and Western rooms.

As long as they don't change the Casablanca scene.... CASABLANCA ROCKS!!!!!.......

But yeah, I would not mind seeing TGMR over at DCA.

I think that would be a great addition to DCA! Where would they put it though? The old Hollywood and Dine building would not be enough space. They might be able to fit it into the Millionaire building. And they could always expend it a bit if they need to because there is some, not much, room inbetween "Greetings from California and "Millionaire". Just an idea!! :) And like what was said before, they could make make the sets in the ride be from different movies, both new and classics. How much u want to bet if they made this ride at DCA, they would put all Disney movies in it or movies that Disney has a contract with to make rides with. LOL
