Default Fireworks at DCA....

Well... if this does in fact belong in the rumor section, then I do appologize...

But yesterday, when I went to the park, I saw a large barge in the middle of Paradise Bay. It had high walls, with 2006 painted on the sides. It looked like a place to launch fireworks.

Has anyone else seen this barge yet?

Why would they launch fireworks from the middle of Paradise Bay? Doesn't that seem odd to anyone else, or is it just me?

Wouldn't that cause a complete smoke problem? I mean, that bay isn't very big like EPCOT's so if the launch fireworks, smoke will engulf the bowl.

im pretty sure its for new years (2006) and if the park is open that late they will probibly be launched at midnight. altough they would create alot of smoke like they did in LuminAria, i dont think that they would use as many fireworks for one small little show like they use in that show

sorry if i didnt make any sense

That sounds like the most logical explanation to me.

Sweet! It'll be nice to have fireworks for DCA again.

Anyone who remembers the last DCA fireworks, will remember the logistical nightmare that ensued. Hopefully, now with a few years to regroup... they have something smoother worked out.

Also, I believe that their firework technowledgy has improved considerably since LuminAria. So I hope the smoke wont be too much of a problem.

Yes Im aware.

Im just saying that I hope this show goes off well. Because if it does... it may lead to a new night time show for DCA in the future.

Paradise Pier Hotel will have a nice view. If they are in the Pier area.
