Aside from TOT, I really have to go with Muppetvision 3-D. Even though it's not the most popular attraction, from the movie signs around the queue area to all the "props" scattered around the waiting area, you feel like you've really stepped into a theater run by Kermit the Frog.

Tower of Terror and Soarin' Over California. I love the airplanes and pictures everywhere, and with the TOT everything in there is just perfect.

I think the best theming in DCA is Bugs Life. Everything in that area is larger than life as if we were really bugs. PS - I would have said Tot and GRR too but everyone kse had that covered. lol

I, too, would say The Twilight Zone: Tower of Terror. When you take a first glance of the building, you'd think that something must have happened as you see the W on the verge of falling, burn marks all over the wall, and you see people in the elevator shafts when the doors open. Near the doors, you notice that it looks like a couple of floors must have been destroyed. Also, the plants growing wildly and evidence of cracks on the walls, arches, and lawn ornaments give away that this hotel may be abandoned. That becomes clear once inside the lobby. Now, in the library, you're told that you're in an episode of The Twilight Zone and we're going to go through like what those 5 people did in an elevator. The basement looks creepy with dark lighting, creating an ominous atmosphere. The cast members, sometimes, set the mood by acting dark. Just knowing that once the elevator doors are closed, there's nowhere else to go, but wherever the elevator takes you.

Grizzly River Run and the area gives a great nature theme. Whenever I'm there, I could actually feel like I'm in the wilderness. I love the paths that offers me to take great pictures of the mountain peak and the waterfalls, along with riders. I love hearing the birds cheeping in the trees and the sounds of water satisfies me.

The road that takes you from the recreation area to Condor Flatts is a great way to see the transformation of the theme. Soarin' Over California is a great ride that has a great theme. I actually feel like I'm flying. It's great.

Sincerely, a brother of a half-demon,
Sesshomaru-sama

I'm throwing my vote behind the Tower of Terror... It's a practically PERFECT replication of a 1930's Art Deco hotel. Heck, I've stayed in real ones that weren't as nice as the lobby of the ToT. At least, if they wouldn't be if they cleaned up the ToT's lobby ^_~ It doesn't look at all fakey or fibreglass or otherwise require some suspension of disbelief in order to make it work. You don't have to imagine anything. It's just right there for you.

Frankly, I'd like to stay in it! I'd be surprised if they didn't consider making an Art Deco-style hotel for the resort... A Hollywood Backlot version of the Grand Californian in the Golden State. They know how to do the look to perfection.

I am a little surprised no one has mentioned "It's Tough to be a bug", which I think is very nicely themed.

I have to agree with you. It's possible that The Hollywood Tower Hotel is the best detailed ride in the whole park. Nothing looks fake. When I see the walls turn to a night sky with stars, the transformation is amazing.

I would have to go with a bug's land. I love how you everything is made of average items, like Flik's Flyers. Or the splash area where the water comes out a giant sprinkler. ToT was amazing, but I was concentrating on breathing and fighting the urge to run out of lobby to notice details.

Ha ha! That was me when I first went to the ride. The thing that kept me from running away was that I made a promise to a former friend that I'd ride it with her.

I was in the same boat, my husband made me promise to go on it. He did the same with CA Screaming (not a big rollar coaster fan) and I loved it, so he used that to get me on ToT. Never again.

Ha ha. You have a child to take care of. Use that excuse. ^_~

We were in that area of the park when I first went to Disney's California Adventure. Looking at it and the people on the ride made me want to save this ride for last. I wanted to get on California Screamin' before I die. Ha ha.

Anyways, my friend looked really sad and tried to guilt trip me. So, I promised I'd get on.

I'm going to have to echo ToT, it's amazing! I remember the first time I went on it, the whole vibe the place ggave me was really chilling. I was shaking really badly too because I had NEVER been on a freefall type of ride before...and was soaked from the GRR, I got cold. The cast members were never out of character either, just really quiet and mysterious. I enjoyed the ride though, so cool!

Soarin' also has stunning themeing, all the airplane parts and histories of famous pilots. Even the loading area (where you watch the saftey video) looks like some sort of departure area.

I love the Animation Building! It's just awesome how they take the less is more and for most of it turn it into something beautiful. The Grotto in Character Workshop annoys me, but the rest if like pure gold. And the foyer... lock me in there forever with access to the feed and food, and I'll live a long, full, life.
