Since the first CM opening day, I have thought DCA was like a fair. You go once and that's all you need to go for. There is really no reason to go back for a second time. I do NOT think DCA has The Magic, and I don't think it should even be considered a Disney park because Disney parks you can enjoy over and over again!

Ummm...Shouldn't this be in the DCA section of the message boards? Anyway, I think that DCA has some Disney magic. The Aladdin show is really good, and you won't find anything like Soarin' anywhere else. There is also the animation building and of course the Tower of Terror. DCA has always had a bad reputation and I don't know why. I do like DLP better, but DCA has some really cool things that you won't find in just a simple carnival or fair.

Sorry! That was one of my blonde moments! I don't know how to move it, but I will be more than happy to have it moved.

Who moves these?

the mods or one of the admins should, but i think DCA has magic in it but u gotta look, i love DCA and glad it came to DLR, it brings adventure and excitment to DLR, im not daying disneyland doesnt have adventure and excitment but u know what i mean, and im glad that DCA brought along electrical parade with it, its not the MSEP but i love it its practicly the same but i love it anyway, i love when the characters come out in other costumes then their own clothes. like tourist costumes lol

and the hyperion theatre is amazing the shows it brings are so cool

Of course DCA has Disney Magic and everyone should know this it is just a little more different than other Disney parks but it still has the magic in it and maybe some people who havent found it yet will find it if they appreciate it a little more

and I also dont think that it is just a park that only people from Magic Mountain would enjoy

Yes, there is magic in the park... and yes its disney magic. I think the park was built for a different audience though, and that might be throwing some people off... but the same level of attention to detail can be found everywhere.

I don't hate or love DCA. It definitely doesn't give me that same feeling I get when I'm at DLR. A lot of the rides are reminiscent of carnivals I've been to, but DCA is definitely at a higher level of quality, like DLR. If I didn't have an AP, I'm not sure if I would buy a park hopper ticket. But don't get me wrong; DCA has a lot of really good attractions!

Actually DCA is part of DLR...Disneyland Resort is the conglomeration of hotels and both parks.

Anyway, I don't think DCA has the Disney magic other than the electrical parade, but it's a fun place nonetheless. And I saw a message that stated it's for a different crowd, and I agree with that, I think because of rides like TOT and CA screamin and the Whoa Belly ride (I forgot the name) attracts more of the adrenaline types. I wonder though if there is anyone who likes DCA but not Disneyland Park

I also like DCA indirectly because I think it reduces the crowds. Disneyland Park would be horribly crowded without DCA because everyone would be concentrated in the same point. For example I went on Super Bowl Sunday 2001 and you wouldn't believe how packed it was. It rivaled the crowd on July 17, 2005! A minimum 2 hour wait for anything, it was crazy. I'm sure if I were to go on another Super Bowl Sunday it would be nowhere near as crowded because everyone would be distributed between the two parks.

I love DCA, just not as much as I love DLP. I go to DL more often than to DCA, but thats just because I enjoy the attractions more there. And I agree with you RankoAnime, it just doesnt give me the same feeling like DLP. It has great attractions, and a good theme, and its just a little refreshing. There are times when I just want to go to DLP, and then there are times where I will spend a full day in DCA. It does have the magic, it just has a different feel. Like Disneyland is older, and was completly built with fantasy in mind, and thats they kind of feeling and enviornment DL gives. But DCA is more remencent of Ca history, and what makes Ca...well California. I personally really enjoy that park, its not like DLP, but it does have magic and it is special to me.

compared to Disneyland it doesn't have that same magic but still it is very disney and i really love DCA. even though it has more rollercoaster type rides and people expect it to be like six flags, to me its a lot different.

I don't think it is really fair to compare DCA to DL. I enjoy both, but I am especially partial to DL because I grew up with it. I always have a great time at DCA. I think an important thing to remember is that DCA is only 4.5 years old. It is still quite young, and they are adding attractions at a pretty good rate IMHO. Remember, that DL was at one point a young park too. DL has 45 years on DCA. I'm just excited to see what the imagineers can do with DCA over the next ten to twenty years. DCA is no DL, but in my opinion nothing will ever compare to DL because Walt is not here to be a part of the magic.

I'd be curious to see in a few decades when you have people who will be too young to remember a time when there was no DCA, what will their take be on this?

Anything with "Disney" in its title, has the Disney magic.
