Default Do you enjoy California Adventure

Aside from the other pole circulating asking whether it has Disney magic. Do you like the park? Would you consider coming down for a holiday and totally skipping over California Adventure? If not, then I would click yes.

I do like that place, despite several disappointments.

I think it needs to be a little bit more "Disney Magic " rather than just exploration :)

Thank you for the comments. I personally love the park equally to Disneyland but it's quite refreshing to see people like you actually give an honest answer rather than just a bash.

I like the park a lot. Obviously they aren't done with it. And I think we need to stop and remind ourselves of that from time to time.

Also we need to remember that as much as we like to joke about it being such an unpopular park.... its still in the top ten in terms of attendence (at least thats what I think I read :P)

I can honestly say that I do enjoy California Adventure. Maybe not as much as I enjoy disneyland park, but it's still pretty fun to go to.

Don't visit then and I'll be happy. Shorter waits for me, just kidding.

Sometimes I don't understand why some loathe the park and complain how bad it is, then they go and visit the park 5+++ times and then come back to the boards and complain about how bad it was again. Haha, I still never quite understand that one. But at least I wasn't blowing smoke when I told others on other boards that some people do enjoy the park.

Although there is a large part of this park that could have been done so much better, there are some enjoyable things to do there. If they continue to make improvements and right the sinking ship that is DCA maybe they will be able to start drawing some larger crowds and improve the reputation of the park.
With the new Disney/Pixar merge how long will it be before they change the name of the park from DCA to DPA (Disney's Pixar Adventure)? I can see a whole new park being born right now.

I like for DCA for a break in the action from the crowds at THEE park, the DL side. We don't typically spend all that much time there. We go over so I can get my fix of TOT a few times, ride Soarin' once or twice, ride Screamin' once or twice, GRR if it isn't too cold. Maybe a meal at the Test Pilot grill place or maybe a hotdog at hollywood area then back to DL. It's a nice break. BUT..we never end the day at DCA without going back to DL and if anyone can only go to one park for one day, we tell them to go to DL and wait for DCA when they have more time and can hop. Tower of Terror dudes !!!!

I really like it at DCA. Of course Disneyland does indeed carry all the magic. Still, DCA is a breath of fresh air in that it's just not as crowded. It's wonderful during those hot summer days when DL is packed. My DH and DD just head over to DCA to a Bugs Land and cool off in the little 'water sections', then head over to GRR and finally top it off at Soarin'.
No crowds, cooled off, everyone is happy.

I enjoy DCA. I do think that it needs a bit more "attractions" and the less empty space feeling. But it's quite fun, even with the lack of Disney characters, there is still that "Disney-ness" about the whole thing.

I've been to DLR many times and haven't even looked to the right, much less gone into DCA. I went in once to check it out and after fifteen minutes of walking around decided I was wasting my Disneyland time. However...

I heard about Soarin' Over California and decided to drop in and check it out. It is now a must do for every trip. And I suspect my husband will like the park because he gets impatient with crowds.

When Disney Corp makes the improvements they're talking about I'm sure it will be better. I'll keep an open mind.

I agree with pretty much all of you. I personally think that Golden State is one of the best themed lands with the best attractions in a single area. I do visit Disneyland after California Adventure closes just because I don't want to go home yet.
