Crush...Talk?

can someone please explain the mechanics behind Turtle Talk with Crush? like i know the what the show is, and I know that the CM doing Crush is able to see the audience, but how? where is his booth located? also, how did they make Crush's mouth match what the CM is saying, since he says different things in every show?

TTwC is a really neat show. I thought it would be like a kid's show you know, but it was actually very interesting and even mesmorizing. My friends and I were wondering how they did that. answers please!!!

it's just a guess but since it's in a dark room, i'm sure there's a few cameras in the walls. and with the mouth thing, it all goes with programming and something else I really can't name....but it's just coming from me. nothing official

I see it. And in answer to your question I have this to say:
I saw a "making of" show and they showed a person with an AA hand puppet thing that moved an on-screen character at the same time the puppet was moved. This may be one way that it's done.

Also to the left and right of the "tank" screen there are black rectangle shaped windows maybe that a CM could look out of into the audience.

I loved Turtle Talk, and was really impresed with not only the tech behind it, but the response time of the actor behind him. Really fun!
