It sucks that its down for now, but in do time it'll be back just like Space Mountain, back in january of this year, I rode screamin' 5 times in a row before closing time around 6, a lady CM was laughing saying "Wow you really love this ride." and I told her "Just one more time i'll ride it." and that one more time turned into 5 lol.

When is this ride going to open? This is possibly more thrilling to me than TOT. They better open it by December or Feb. Wishful thinking though, huh?

I really can't believe they're gonna leave it shut for that long. I mean Space Mountain managed it 'coz it was in Dl and they have plenty of other rides. DCA pretty much revolves around ToT, Soarin' and Screamin' (PP is based solely around it really) so how they can leave it shut for that long is beyond me. They're gonna lose so much business. Well, not lose it but people will spend even less time in DCA now which means Dl will be extra packed!!!

If its also a refurb, are they going to add anything to the ride? or is it going to be a strictly mechanical refurb? I know they probably wouldnt change the track or anything huge like that, but maybe some new lighting effects would be neat. I also wouldnt mind seeing something new added to the queue.

I hope it opens in December. I hope December because it's the best month to go to the Resort. It just sucks that I can't ride it when I go back there next week.

So was the closing of Screamin' scheduled before the accident took place?! It's weird that it happened then it's closed and then it's closed for a refurb straight after.

^ No refurb was scheduled for Screamin' ever really. That's probably the most prominent cause of the collision.

Maybe more was wrong with it than we all think then?! Otherwise surely it would have just closed while it was being inspected then would have opened again?! Has been four years though hasn't it so I guess it was well deserved.

does anyone remember how long BTMRR was closed after its fatal crash? that one seemed like a long time...i don't recall exactly HOW long, though.

and nobody even died in this crash...it couldn't be closed THAT long?!

That's what I was thinking but this refurb is long awaited so I guess it won't be as quick as some.

And your post just reminded me of how my favourite ride was closed the whole time I was on vacation last Summer. Thought I was gonna have three different Big Thunders under my belt but it just didn't happen. What really annoyed me is that it opened literally like one week after I got back!!!!!! Oh well, I'll ride it double next Summer to make up!!!

Remember Indiana Jones was closed for a considerable time while it got a refurb it hadn't had in about 10 years. I'm sure they're doing all they can to get it back running for the holiday season. If it's not back by Halloween, I'll be surprised.
