Default California Screamin' intensity?

I recently conquered my ride fears of Matterhorn IJA and Space Mountain and i have a question...how does California Screamin relate to any of these? THANKS

Don't be afraid, it's just thrilling enough for adults, yet not scary enough for the little ones. My little neice rides it all the time and she's six. Nothing to be afraid of and it's one of the coolest roller coasters I've ever been on.

Dude, don't worry about it. I was [removed] my pants before I went on it a couple of weeks ago. I'm fifteen. I was so scared, then I went on it and went on it 3 more times after that! It's an amazing roller coaster and I love the RHCP.

My 9 year old daughter and I have gone on it at least 3 or 4 times, and one time I even taped it!!!!! ( it was a pretty good tape too). I would say it is thrilling and one of the better coasters that I've been on, and I have had the opportunity to ride on a good bit of them, on the east coast, some in the midwest, and a few on the west coast too. Give it a try, you will not be dissapointed!!!!

Well, California Screamin' compared to the Matterhorn, IJA, and Space Mountain, it is quite a bit more intense than all of them.
But all in all, this ride isn't bad. It may look scary when you're standing next to it, but once you get on it and experience it for the first time, that's all you'll need, you'll most likely love it and want to go on it again and again. Most people do, anyways.
Now, like I said, it is a step up from Matterhorn and Space, but only a step. Are you willing to take that step and try something new and exciting? Go for it.

When I was first pressured on by my friends (LOL), I found out that it wasn't actually so bad. It was pretty thrilling, but it's obviously more intense than the ones you conquered before. Just remember, to me, the loop just makes it feel like there's more gravity for 2-3 seconds. Hope that helps!

It really depends on what makes a ride "scary" for you. Heights, speed, inversion (loops)? California Screamin' is faster than the Matterhorn and Space Mountain. The height I have never found to be an issue, because of the fast launch, you never have the experience of slowly 'chugging' up the first big hill, like other coasters have. The only spot where you go up a little hill is a very short (and exceptionally smooth) part of the ride.

If you've never been on a looping roller coaster, it's a good 'starter' ride, since it only has the one. If it does scare you... well, it's over quick, and you won't have to worry about another one. On the other hand, once that fear is conquered, you'd be surprised how fun things like that which seemed scary can be!

California Screamin' is one of the smoothest roller coasters I've ever been on. Compared to Space Mountain and especially the Matterhorn, you'll feel like you're gliding along. Yes, it is fast, but the turns and even the loop are so smooth that you don't get jostled around.

Give it a try - at least once.

I love Screamin. I also like everything roller coaster. My son won't go on a roller coaster for anything. Different strokes for different folks.

The beginning launch is the most intense part of the ride. The track is very smooth and fluent so it's not jerky at all like the Matterhorn can be. You should try it at least once, you might like it .

I'm normally afraid of heights and drops/free-falls, but I LOVE CA Screamin'. I think it's because the track is so smooth; if I get to a part that I'm afraid of, I just close my eyes for a second, and that part is over.

My first time on it I was a little nervous but not a lot because I've been on Xcelerator at Knots and Speed and Las Vegas both were launching, but CS is not as intense as those 2 were still very fun, very smooth, in fact it's the smoothest coaster I've ever been on, not to mention the longest ( Track wise). just give it try if you don't like it you never have to go on it again, but I garintee its one of those coaster that after you ride it once you'll want to do it over and over again, thats what happened to me.

so have fun conquering your fears on California Screamin.

I've never been on it. The drops are what scares me. Have fun conquering your fear! I'll be in the corner acting like a chicken.

Don't underestimate the loop! The loops packs quite a punch! When you duck downwards, you feel a bit of airtime. When you enter the loop, it feels as if you're going to fall out of your seat. But then at the top of the loop, gravity comes in to push you back into your seat! The feeling is very hard to describe...you just have to ride it for yourself to know what I'm talking!
