Midway, Tower & Soarin' queues all follow the same pattern of being completely themeless up until the very end when you go indoors.

GRR's queue has some interesting props, and as a whole, I think has the most theme-ing in it. However, the whole 'action sports' take on things is a really, really weak way to go with a theme that could be pretty cool. I wish they would treat the Grizzly Bear like Expedition Everest treated the Yeti. Can you imagine that? And then have the climax of GRR be inside a tunnel with a huge Grizzly Bear AA? It wouldn't take a whole lot of changes, but GRR would instantly become an instantly better attraction.

If there was an award for "Best themed queue" honestly, it would go to Monsters Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue. Hate it to give the win to that as opposed to others, but objectively, that's the best themed queue in DCA.

I love the lobby in TOT and the boiler room setup...however, Monster's Inc. Mike and Sully to the Rescue has a lot of great little things to read and view as you wait (I usually won't wait for this ride though). I do also enjoy reading the all of the signs put up in Soarin' about the pilots and contributors to aeronautical technology. The only good thing in the TSMM queue is Mr. Potato Head so I can't say they have the best. Also Muppets is fun as well as It'sTough to be a Bug (the giant dung ball is an excellent touch).

I hope The Little Mermaid ride and everything in Carsland gets some well-deserved theming surrounding the attractions which I think will help make DCA feel a bit more Disney

I do not because it fits the pattern of only becoming immersive at the very end.

Should the queue back out of the lobby, it becomes an endless maze of chains & pipes, and beyond that extends out into the street.

IMO, all queues should have at least 60mins worth of immersive queue space. If they have to become switchback mazes, at least surround the people with something to look at around them. MI does do that with the signs hanging about the walls.

To me, ToT's queue is quite immersive from the start, and it only continues to build up its character as you go further and further into the queue.
I think it's a lot like Indy's queue. When you first walk into the queue for Indy, it's just a bunch of rope hedging around the front of the temple. In a way, when you wait on the outside (Especially for first-timers), it creates a sense of mystery of what's beyond the entrance to the temple. The same feeling could be applied to ToT's queue. I think the sense of wondering what's to come creates a great deal of suspense for a lot of visitors.

Tower's queue has its merits to be sure. I just didn't see Tower's queue done nearly as well as Monsters Inc.'s queue.

I totally agree with Matt....Monsters Inc has the best queue..It's almost reminiscent of a DL's queue...

Perhaps the Monsters Inc. queue is truest to its theme; but even then, the queue screams boring and uninteresting... I'd have more joy walking through office buildings as opposed to having to wait in line for Monsters Inc.
They hardly even put any effort into the queue. The queue is supposed to make you feel like you're walking into the world of Monsters Inc., but it doesn't -- it's cheap and unimaginative.
Perhaps Monsters Inc. in general just has a boring setting and you can't do much about it? I don't think so, the world of Monsters Inc. could definitely be interesting if you know how to do it right. Just look at Ride and Go Seek at Tokyo Disneyland. They really understood the environment and source material that they were working with. They got absolutely every little detail of Monstropolis squeezed into one single queue and attraction... Based off of what I've seen of Ride and Go Seek, and what I've heard from others who have been there -- you really do feel like you're in the Monsters Inc. world. No cheep mock-ups here. If you truly want a definitive Monsters Inc. experience, then Tokyo Disney has your dream ride.
While some may see the Monsters Inc. queue at DCA as the best themed queue in the park, it's still a half-butt attempt at theming to what it was meant to be. Maybe not all the other queues are as faithful to their theme as others, but there sure are A LOT queues out there in DCA alone that are more interesting than Monsters Inc.

Now I don't know if you guys are choosing Monsters Inc. just to be different from the crowd, but I very well know some of you guys would much rather stand in line for Tower of than Monsters Inc.

Well, to be honest, if you're going to compare anything in DCA to anything at Tokyo Disney, nothing in DCA will ever win that comparison.

There's more themeing in a random street corner of Tokyo DisneySea than there is in the entire DCA park. Take my word for it.

I'm just saying. There's a lot more effort in DCA than what was done in the Monsters Inc. ride -- and I'm just being a little speculative if that's really how you feel about the Monsters Inc. queue, or if you're just trying to be different from the crowd. Cause I know you think lowly on the attraction as well, so I don't know why you now praise the queue.

Oh well, I'm done here.
