Will the Columbia be operating this summer?

I was wondering, will the the Sailing Ship Columbia be operating this summer? My family was thinking about going because I'm graduating from middle school and I want to get to go on the Columbia, and if possible make a video of it to post on VF.

When we were at Disneyland last year at the end of June, the Columbia was operating daily. I hope you get a chance to go on it, last year was the very first time I had ever been on it and I loved it. Have fun on your trip!

So they are going to make it sort of like the train at knotts where you get hijacked. I wonder if the pirates that hijack the ship are going to resemble the pirates from the movie which are more serious or the pirates from the ride which are more goofy.

That stuff where actors hijack a ride reminds me of the Great Movie Ride at WDW where you get hijacked by a gangster or a cowboy. Thanks for the info everyone!

I was gonna say that! Just recently the Columbia was under rehab and they added some glowing thing or somthing like that. Any info on what that was? I have no clue.

IT BETTER. I dont think Fantasmic will be the same without the Columbia, and I will be there during the summer.

While it;s true that the Columbia went through a major rehab before May of last year, I wouldn't put it past TDA to pull it for some minor work. At least for a couple weeks while Fantasmic is down for the POCT2 setup begins...

The columbia will be running this summer, but most likely not around the time of the pirates premier. But this is not set in stone.

I love how WDW is just being totally rejected when it comes to the whole Pirates craze, and they are trying to keep up with Disneyland.

Doesn't the Columbia operate on busy days, when the Mark Twain is down, weekends, and the summer?

I think one of the articles Ezra found for us said that Disney has found actors that REALLY resemble the pirates from the movie.
