Default Who introduced you to Disney Magic? And at what age?

My mom and grandmother took me to disneyland when I was 4 (1972) the first time. I don't remember much, but I have an old movie at GHR and I am on stage they gave me one of those all day suckers. I remember though getting a donald duck hat that squeeked.

Hmmm I think I was like 7 or so when I first went to disneyland. I remember puking in the bushes that were by It's a small world. I had the stomach flu. Needless to say it took that long for the adults to realise and take me back to the hotel. I do remember Mary Poppins being there though. That was so huge to me ( and kind of shows my age ! lol ) because I thought she was the real deal. I got her autograph :old_wink: That was the biggest part of my disneyland memory of my first time. I went with my grandmother, her sister and her kid.

My parents when I was really small (1 or 2)

but I most remember going all through my childhood because
my dad would get the passes for the Retail Clerks night every year.

(the orignial passports! - these were the coolest things back in the day
because you could leave your ticket books at home and ride everything
by showing the admission ticket
!
)

so I feel Disneyland was a kind of distant relative we would visit at least
once a year.

I was still in a stroller with my sis, we were like 1 yrs old i think. I remember the characters in mickey's toontown would push us around in our stroller. Through the years we still go, and even some
of the characters recognize us.

I remember being about 2, just barely talking and seeing the little mermaid. then i was pretty much disney hooked and then for my 6th birthday we all went to disneyland, and i also had a daisy duck hat that squeeked and pluto squeeked it when he saw me. and i remember getting there and seeing the beast and crying and my mom holding me and telling me "but honey! beauty and the beast is your favorite movie!" idk i guess cus he was big lol

I was 4 yrs old when my family first vacationed to Disneyland that was in 1966(The year Walt Disney died ). Almost 40 years ago! I loved Tinkerbell and had a glow in the dark Tinkerbell Wand, I have and old Tink Post Card. I only have one photo from that trip I was standing next to one of the Three Little Pigs ( Wish it was Mickey or Minnie). I've always had an interest in art and so Walt Disney has been an inspiration to me since I was little. My mom took me again for my 16Th Birthday. I've gone again in 1998, 2000 and will be back Nov. 17Th-21ST 2005! Am I excited YES!

I was a bit older, i came to the U.S when i was 13 yrs old. i remember my mom took me to Disneyland with her friends when i was around 16 yrs old. i thought it was the coolest place ever!! I have never been to a place so magical and being surrounded by people who had the same feeling. i remember we had to leave early at around 9 or 10, we did see the 1st show of fantasmic, but i was bummed that we didnt stay until 1am!! so every time i go to DL. i stay until they throw me out. even if i my legs get tired, i cant keep my eyes open, i enjoy every minute of. even waiting two hours for splash mountain! :O)

I use to go to WDW when I was a kid, but it wasn't until I went to Disneyland as an adult that I REALLY caught the bug!!! I can't tell you why, maybe being in the park Walt originally built and seeing it with my own kids, I don't know. I can tell you I definitely have the Disney fever now and hope to pass it on to my kids!!

My parents were the ones who took me to Disneyland for the first time when I was about 6 mths old way back in 1958, eek I'm showing my age. Mom and Dad were very big on Disney before Walt built the park. They went to the opening in 1955 and took my older sister and brother. We lived in S.Bay LA and I was raised on Disneyland.
