i think your cast member had wrong information.
The more accurate info is that the Disneyland Happiest Homecoming On Earth Celebration is schedule to be held for 18 months. It started in May. therefore it will end in October 2006. Though the fireworks' fate has still yet to be determined when the celebration ends, the Parade of Dreams is definitely not leaving in October. It's more than likely going to be another "PotS" type thing where it's staying for a good long time. The reason is most likely because the parade cost quite a few bucks to produce, and only having it for 18 months is not cost effective. It's staying for a while longer.

While the 50th celebration will last 18 months, which makes it end in November, Disney has not made any announcements regarding the future of the Parade of Dreams nor Remember Dreams Come True. Will they continue on beyond November? I doubt it. If I know Disney's timing, they're going to abandon the 50th in favor of the 2006 Holiday Season. So you probably will see the Christmas Fantasy Parade and not see some hybrid version of Remember + Snow. After that, the time would be perfect for the debut of new post 50th parade & fireworks. This is just speculation, but we've been watching Disney for a long time, and this would fit their pattern.

Olg, both of these shows have been covered in a beautiful multi-edit video by RU42 of this very website & as far as I know are currently available for download.

Then again, Remember... might end up like Believe since that was an anniversary install too.
I miss Believe.

Oh sure it could happen. After holidays 2006 they could just go right back to Remember...Dreams Come True. My point was that there is the perfect timing opportunity to come out with something new beginning in 2007.

Remember would be one show I wouldn't mind sticking around for awhile. But if they do make a new show in 2007, I hope they top it. They've raised the bar with Believe and they raised it even more with Remember, so let's hope they continue with that pattern.

Believe ran for a few years after the 45th anniversary.

Remember and the POD will not be leaving after the 50th. POD is supposed to be there for 5 years as well as BPB. I seriously doubt they would want to spend money on a new fireworks show right after the 50th. Especially, since Remember is hugely popular.

I just wondering what does this have to do with Walt Disney Parade Of Dreams And Remember Dreams Come Ttrue Leave 18 Months? Plus, this belongs in "The Rumor Mill", beause there have been no public announcements about this from Disney.

Exclamation Nothing is set in stone

When it comes to parades or shows, nothing is set in stone. For ages the SOP for a show or parade has been 2 seasons and then retirement. But it depends on how popular the show turns out to be. Look at Main St. Electrical Parade. It was introduced in 1973 on a two year plan, and retired after the second season, only to be brought as soon as the next 2 season run was over... to play for what? a dozen more years? and now it's back for more encores at DCA! If it wasn't for America on Parade for the Bicentennial, it probably wouldn't even have retired that first time.
