Well, everyone i just got back from my major once in a lifetime WDW trip. it was amazingly fun, i enjoyed every moment of it. but there was a few things i noticed..
First of all, i hold DLR to a very high standard and i know that everything is done in a very strict and thorough way there, and every major cleaning is done without the awareness of the guests. However, at WDW , there were cleaning ladies in all of the bathrooms with carts and everything, and ( i found this very strange) when i was in liberty square at the MK, i was waiting near one of the buildings and i started to get wet, so i looked up and right in the middle of EVERYTHING water was being sprayed over all of the buildings and was just pouring down the sides, getting everyone wet. I found myself thinking, i know DLR would never let this happen. Second, the cast members at WDW didnt seem as polite and talkative as those at DLR, but i do think its a little understandable because it was very hot and not everyone is cheery at that time of year. One thing that a really really enjoyed was the abundacy of CHARACTERS! Every where i looked there where characters, it was amazing, i had never seen that many characters while being at DLR, which is a disappointment because it is one of my favorite parts. And the characters were very sociable.. Also, the SKIPPERS AT JUNGLE CRUISE WERE AMAZING! i dont know if im the only one but i extremely enjoyed all of the skippers jokes, they were hilarious, far better in my experience then the DLR ones. Through everything, i had a great time, and wouldnt change a thing, but after seeing all the sights at WDW i now have made my decision that i prefer "home" better. I think i like the simplistic feel of DLR, i love knowing that im going home when i go there, and knowing every nook and cranny of DLR and how it was built and what things work and what didnt work, and know every hotel around, which ones to go to, which ones arent so good. I may be being old fashioned but i love "home" and i wouldnt change it for the world, im very glad i got this oppurtunity but now that i've done it, i can safely and comfortably go back to DLR and enjoy it even more... Just as is dislpayed everywhere at DLR its "where the magic began" and i know, there is just no place like home.... What do you think about WDW?

I'm glad to hear that you had a nice trip at WDW! I've never been to WDW before, so I can't really compare it to DLR. But it's definitely on my list of places I want to visit!
I just got back from Tokyo Disney Resort a week ago and I also noticed that there were a lot more characters there than over here. It's a bit of a disappointment because that is also my favorite aspect of a trip to Disneyland. Over there, the characters came out randomly (as opposed to having a set time/place like at DLR). Is that how things were at WDW? If you have any other stories about your trip, I'd love to hear them! Did you go on Expedition Everest? That's something I want to do if I go there! Also, did you take pictures? I'd love to see what kinds of things you saw over there!
