Exclamation Are There Any New Fantasmic! Changes?

After this last closure/refurbishment, has there been any new changes?

I just saw the 9:00 show this evening, and I thought I noticed some sound changes. The water barges for the fountains seem larger, and the center fountain seems more powerful. In the beginning, it just shoots up this huge sure of water.

:~)

I think that the part were the monkey's come out (I think its the same as dumbo) there are new dancers on the main stage. I didn't see them before and I love fantasmic.

There has been some new changes, but have been there for about a month. The Gobos on the Water and the fountains are controllable (and always were) on how high they can go so those are not changed. Fantasmic also has better fog along the Rivers of America.

Off-Topic, I hope you all enjoy the new Pirate Movie! I just watched it today and thought it was VERY awsome! Anyways I don't come on VF that often and don't post at all. LOL, too busy. Anyways have fun!

The center one shoots unusually high though. And, it's not like perfect. It's like full instead of stream on those hose nozzles!

Also, I seem to remember that there were just those barrels before, but now, they have little floats that have wals three feet above the water. I know those are new! And the audio seemed updated in some parts!

Yes, I have been told that the Audio has been updated, but nothing about the fountains. I have a couple of friends who are in the show (stage blacks and techs) that I can ask about what you were saying. As for the fountain you were referring to, they have total control of the hieght. It is meant to be the highest one in the show, but they can also make it smaller if needed.

Default Fantasmic!

HI I'm new just thought id drop a line...

The last time I saw Fantsamic! was about three years ago and trust me the show was in need of a refurb. the dragon was hardly mobile, The transitions between live action and animation was off, and there was little pro/laser effects. All can be atributed to CUT BACKS. What?s worse is Mickey?s entrances were lame.

This sub par show went on for the better part of the 1990?s until Disneyland?s 50th came along. Now that disneyland is being run by Matt Oumet (sp)

"the lights fade, the river is quiet swelling and growing into a dramatic chord. A brilliant circling -- but with nothing inside. Another chord is struck, and the cone vanishes, revealing Mickey Mouse. The music becomes glorious and exciting, as Mickey brings the river to life."

The excerpt from the script really does apply.
Now I notice that the dragon is enven biger, the fiberotics work, and thre are tones more for the eye.

Well, I am curious to know how you know that the "dragon is enven biger, the fiberoptics work, and thre are tones more for the eye" if you haven't seen the show in three years. Am I correct?

And on the topic of Fantasmic! changes, does anyone know how often or how does a change in choreography get passed?

Having watched it just two days ago, I can say that the strobe light effect on the shack before the Mark Twain's run is still the latest change, and that was how many months ago? Yes in 14 years some things get tweaked, things like audio quality might get enhanced a bit. There is quite a bit of surround sound that probably wasn't there 14 years ago, but it's not like that was installed last week or anything. Nor is anything drastically different like the dragon's size or anything.

Any and all choreography is taken up with the choreography department of Fantasmic. They can be tried after park hours, where all of Mickeys official changes are made. I will ask some friends where it goes from that area.

I think a while back ago they added an out of control sky scan laser (well 2 of them) so when the dragon was defeated and slowly lowers/screams the 2 lasers add a cool lookin effect. Not sure how old that is.

Last time I saw it it looked like the WDW version. Now the dragon consumes the stage. Is this just me just me???
