It's one of my most favorite rides. It's too bad that on two of my last four trips there, it was down. In a way, it is a homage to America Sings.

Yeah I love Splash Mountain! I get scaried everytime before I ride it though, because I don't like dropping! BUt it is just one of those rides you have to ride, it wouldnt be the same without splash mountain! But anyways, Im sure most of you know, there is a lot behind splash mountain. It is acutally based on the stories told in "Song of the South". I love that movie, and to me, it is a very tasteful tale of how things were in that time period. If you havent seen that movie, or know the story, you probably don't understand the ride thouroughly. If you ever get the chance, try to see it. That movie has been baned, and has not been released in a long time. Even Roy Disney was/is an advocate that the movie should be re-released, because it was one of Walt Disney's most treasured movies. To fully understand that ride, I think you would have to know the tale behind it!

Last time I was at Disneyland, I got to ride Splash Mountain 4 times, back to back!! It was because my dad got fastpass for the whole family, but nobody wanted to go, so, ya.

Actually, that is just a common misconception. True Song of the South has not been released in a long time, but it is not banned. Many different groups raised a stink over this movie and put enough pressure on Disney that they yanked the movie off shelves in the U.S.A. This movie can still be found in Europe and many other parts of the world. But just something you all might find interesting and exciting. When you used to go to Disney.com and searched for Song of the south in their movie catalog, you would get absolutely nothing. NOW, the movie is showing up on the movie finder(as a theatrical release, but that is still better than before).

Back on topic, yeah, getting soaked on Splash is very fun!

I love Splash Mountain. I just get nervous at the big drop because there are no seat belts, just bars.

I tend to think that Splash Mtn is my favorite. I look forwards to it most and can ride it over and over the most. It is such a cool experience. I love the characters and the scenery!

I always pose for each ride's picture.

My favorite pose I like to do is rest my chin on my hand and put a totally bored expression on my face. I love to do this especially if I am sharing the log with a spaz. Then when the spaz sees the picture they are blown away by their expression of sheer terror and my "boredom"... Heh... Good times...

Sometimes I put my fingers around my eyes, kind of like a batman mask. Or I pose like a weight lifter. Or I read a book. Or I blow a bubble.

I love to express myself at Splash Mtn!

Ugh, I HATE the back seat! Since my mom is scared of practically all the big rides at Disneyland, I use the single rider line and almost ALWAYS get stuck in the very back seat. I'm pretty small and I don't feel safe with all that extra space! Plus, for some reason, all of the drops and dips give my stomach a nastier feeling in the back (probably because I can't see anything in front of me. I feel better when I can see the bottom of the drops).

There were only two times when I got the front seat in the single rider line and even though I was completely soaked, I was SO happy!

I really don't like the people that run the single rider line... We were in the single rider line (we were in a group of three) and they had me sit in the second-to-back seat, and left the very back empty. I asked if my 2 friends could sit in the very back seat, and they said NO. I was fine with that, until I exited out of the log and waited for my other two friends. When I was waiting, I saw that two people from a group got to sit together in the back seat! Ah wells, Space Mountain cheered me up :)

The reason you saw a group in the backseat sitting together was most likely because they did not come from the SR line. Your group accepted the fact that they'd get split up, and they must be, lest the SR line become abused.

Single Rider passes are in the park for a purpose, for Single Riders to ride. The line is extremely more faster than the queue line, but groups of friends cant all get Single Rider passes, and then expect to sit together on rides. Thats not there purpose. The Single Rider line does become easily abused. So if you want to ride a ride with your friends and dont want to be split up, stand in queue, or get fastpasses. Leave the single rider passes to people who really need them, and avoid your own anger and discouragement when you and your friends can't sit together. Im not trying to be mean or rude or anything, just trying to give you advice!

Is there still a single rider line for Splash? ... If so, wish I had known that yesterday- I "wasted" a Fast Pass! I could have done Space Mt. as well!

Yes there is. Go to the exit of the ride and they will help you. I just did it a week ago on Saturday. It took like 5 minutes to get on instead of nearly 3 hours for the regular line or the Fastpass line.
