I love Splash Mountain, and there are some pictures as well as concept art(Thanks Chris

) on the Splash Mountain page of this website. I have a couple good websites I found for the ride, but not sure if Im allowed to post them.

I've always been kind of afraid of Splash Mountain, but I still LOVE IT! Every time I get in line and see those 5 Story Drop signs, THAT'S when the fear and suspense kick in! But that's part of the ride!

Also, all of you know that Splash Mountain got updated for the 50th right? Well for those of you who haven't seen it, let me tell you that Splash Mountain looks better than ever! The new Briar Patch looks just GREAT, with a little hint of a Tim Burton type look to them! Also, the amount of water that spews up when someone goes down the drop has been increased, and it looks cool and exciting! Don't forget that they altered the logs slightly, and made the back seat bigger, and in my opinion more comfortable and safe! The most important thing though is the refreshing of all of the scenes, which have been newly painted and refurbished. Everything at Splash Mountain is a Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah Day!

Do not forget, also with the new logs, you get more wet than you used to. I was in a log full of adults. I was in the front, and on 3 seperate locations a nice small wall of water spilled right onto my lap. I was soaked from the chest down! It was absolutely marvelous!

That's because of 2 things: The logs are heavier, and the amount of weight in the log was heavier! The perfect way of getting wet!

You're young (like I'm not) so I guess you wouldn't remember, but back when the ride opened until about '94, the splash was even bigger than it is now. I used to just stand there and watch it splash again and again.

i don't think it was the splash, they used water cannons to make the splash look higher

the 1st time I went on the new logs I was in front.
I was misserable the rest of the day.

I like the back seat, extra room and you don't get as wet.

I haven't tried the backseat yet. I'm always bribed to go sit in the front somewhere. My shoes always get soaked, but I like taking them off after and making wet footprints on the ground. Or sitting on the benches to make butt-prints :P

Fist of all, The Not-Lit Meteor, you should definitly get an avatar from protostars or rollercoasterpro.com that has the actual meteor in it!
