Well, I don't mean extend it into Holiday season, just a few days or something while everything is put up. Then when holidays come around, take it down.

they should just leave the projectors there if it's coming back next year so they don't have to remove them, then put them back and repeat. They will be hidden in the darkness anyways, unlike the Haunted Mansion and It's a small world overlay stuff. but then again, closing it down every year would be a great transition into the Ghost Galaxy thing because the walls had signs about paranormal activity in the galaxies.

^ I think they are leaving the projectors in there because according to the Disneyland website it's only taking them a day to remove everything and reopen it as Space Mountain.

so they're only removing the screens that had the ghost and the projectors will be off the whole year? I think we all know what this means. Happy dance time!

Well it was a fantastic run while it lasted. I'm sure I'll see it again next year, but man, that was the best overlay they've ever done for Space. 10/10 :)

Agreed! And WHOA Space, I beat you, I did Ghost Galaxy 13 times! Hahaha, just kidding around, but I think it's funny that I've only been on the normal ride 6 times since I got my pass in August, and I did Ghost Galaxy more than twice as many times in the last month. It was truly a superb overlay.

They seemed to have left some of the projectors from Ghost Galaxy in the ride, projecting various different little cosmic animations.

That'd be pretty cool, but I'm not sure how well that will go because the hidden disco balls will be used again to make stars all around the attraction again.

A cast member told me that they closed Space Mountain in September for two weeks to make it so that when its time for Halloween all they have to do is flip a switch.

I knew it's a few days late, but good-bye Ghost Galaxy! Hope to see you again next year!

Just with a few improvements:
1) No 'white boxes' around the ghosts...
2) Try turning up the speakers a bit. When I went on it, I could barely hear it.
3) On the second lift, turn the volume down. When the electricity crackled, it nearly blew out my eyes.

Oh and it would be nice if they took my idea into consideration...

I hope they fix up the queue a little bit next year like when you hear com before you enter it would be cut with static or screams briefly and once inside the screens and lights flicker hinting that something isn't right before you board

Since the dome is being attacked on the outside, I think lights flickering would be nice to have. Better yet, add speakers in to have roars heard throughout the queue, but they'd be low volume as to seem like it can be heard through the thick walls of the space station. Have several power outages, but not as constant that it'll disrupt the loading stations. To add more the creepiness, the safety videos should be tampered with by having it some static lines going across it, the same reaction when something electric or magnet comes to a video.

Sincerely, a brother of a half-demon,
Sesshomaru-sama

Next year, they should include Madam Leota in the show (HW Screams) and project her on the ball!
