Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy (merged)

Hanged out with some old friend cast members last night and they tried to coax me back saying how Disney is gonna add new things for Halloween this year such as a Halloween overlay for space mountain similar to when the red hots were doing Rockin' Space Mountain as well as a new Halloween firework show i didn't believe but yesterday on Miceage Al Lutz reported the same thing but in more detail

"Editor's Note 7/11: Yes the rumors are true, Team Disney Anaheim approved the money this week for a '09 Halloween overlay for Space Mountain, using much of the equipment installed in '06 for Rockin' Space Mountain. Based on the Ghost Galaxy version of the ride in Hong Kong, this version will now debut at Disneyland on September 25th, after a two week closure. More info to come in the next update. - Al Lutz"

So it might just happened Halloween is my favorite holiday and last year at Disneyland was pretty cool seeing the lanterns all over main street and the day of the dead display in frontierland, I hope they comeback with these new editions

if Maleficent can't prmeier now, I hope they will premiere her in Halloween. It's a good addition since it's so scary. I can't wait for Space Mountain! and it makes sense to have Halloween things here more than WDW, since Anaheim has got more locals.... I'm happy that it seems like the whole park will be decked out in Halloween decor! I mean, Hallowishes, Haunted Mansion Holiday, a ghost galaxies thing, and all the Main Street stuff

yeah, i'm excited about the space mountain layover it's based of the Halloween version of space mountain in Hong Kong ghost galaxies or something like that there's videos on youtube it's like rockin space mountain with ghost lol, i hope they bring back the jack or lanterns all over main street and the day of the dead displays at frontier they were really cool!

Cool news! However, I haven't really seen any videos of SMGG, so is it like Rockin' only with ghosts instead of dancers? And what kind of ghosts: cartoony or creepy?

A new fireworks show is awesome (since I am a major fan of all fireworks), and some halloween decorations is cool like they usually do, but I don't think they should go overboard.

I mean, it sounds cool, and I'm excited for it, but Idk...

Hopefully I will get to go in oct/nov.

^doesn't WDW usually go overboard? People keep comparing DL to WDW and say that the DL decorations just suck as compared to WDW.

Well, people go to Walt Disney World Resort more than Disneyland Resort, so I think it's expected for them to go overboard than Disneyland.

yay that's awesome! We're going in the last week of October to do Mickey's Trick or Treat party. I can't wait to see what they do!! (PS thanks for reminding me I have a TON left on our costumes! AGH!!)

well it is understandable, but they don't really have locals since WDW is more on a private vacationy-type spot, so wouldn't one expect DL to do the same as Anaheim has locals?

miceage's dateline Disneyland also said it has been confirmed but i dunno where there getting there main source at, my sources are inside the park too but there only 90% right and such so if there right the space mountain overlay is in the works set to close 2 weeks and debut September 25 to prepare for Halloween, i've seen some videos on the ghost galaxy version and it's kinda like rockin but with ghost lol
