Default Is President Lincoln coming back?

Say, is Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln coming back to DLR???

Am I way off base, or didn't he used to be in the Opera House where the "50 Years Of Magic" movie is now.....

I have gone to DLR the last 3 years in a row, and haven't seen him once. That's a looooong 50th celebration!

I would LOVE to see Abe back in action. That's just a classic show.

Ah. I remember Mr.Lincoln.
He was truly a classic, although I'm not sure he's coming back. That's something that you'd have to find out for yourself...=/

I remember going on it like once and then *poof* he was gone. D:

From what I recall, Disny did say he is just on hiatus and would return after the 50th hoopla. But of course that has come and gone and we still have the same show years after that celebration is over. So who knows if it ever will now. I would also like it if Walt's offices came back to their rightful place in the Opera House to go along with Lincoln, but I doubt that is happening either.

Right before the 50th they put in the new (awesome) version of Mr. Lincoln. Since it didn't run that long before they put in the 50th movie, maybe they are tweaking it some. Have you guys seen it? You wear headphones and when the guy leans in to talk to you I swear you can feel his breath! I always lean away when he's cutting "my" hair too! I miss it!

I did see it and it was awesome! My son was 2 at the time and he sat there with his headphones on during the entire thing. I always left the Mr. Lincoln show kind of misty eyed because it was so patriotic. I hope they bring it back--along with Walt's offices. I loved to look at where he used to work and imagine him sitting there at his desk. Such a shame it's all been gone so long.

No one really seems to know if Abe is coming back. He's still on vacation.

I liked the new show, too. The haircutting thing was cool.

Walt's offices are still there, but I believe Lincoln is gone for good, due to low attendance to this show. I loved it too, but the 50 Years Of Magic show is much closer to home and is a much more popular show, due to the fact that it talks about the History of the park and how things went wrong on Opening Day, etc. etc. I love 50 Years Of Magic, personally. Its funny, educational, and includes our favorite Disney character.

Mickey Mouse?
No.
Donald Duck?
No
I know, Dumbo!
No!
Then who?
Steve Martin!!! =D

Walt's offices went to Florida on tour for who knows how long, but they are not behind the glass there in the foyer of the Opera House.

Cool come back...

According to Disney.com's email newsletter Disney Insider, Lincoln is coming back. They said this way back in April. I wonder if it will be a new/improved Lincoln AA? They sure are taking their own sweet time about it!

^ Well this could also be the case of TimeWarner's same issue with not telling their Entertainment Weekly magazine that Harry Potter is postponed and the magazine sent it out on the cover. LOL

Yeah I do agree that they are taking their sweet time doing this and wonder when it will be exactly that they do re-open it as GMWML.

There are quite a few rather major construction projects taking up budget space for the foreseeable future. Without those, Lincoln would have probably returned to the Opera House by now. But with all the struggles with the new Monorails, the DCA Refurb Project, the DGC Expansion Project, the coming Disneyland Hotel Project, et cetera...there's quite a bit on the budget's plate for the immediate future. Compared with all those, Mr. Lincoln doesn't 'stand' to be considered for a whole lot, especially when the turnstile numbers aren't problematic at all.

^That could be a good time to bring him back, but I think one of Disney's new motto's is, if it ain't broke don't fix it. Lincoln didn't bring in massive amounts of crowds, like the 50th show is today, still a lot of people, but right now people are still watching it. I've seen this sorta problem with many attractions, and in my little example, the word broke means popularity of the ride goes down. For the longest time, many of the effects were broken on Indy, but that didn't effect popularity, because I'll still ride Indy, even though a few fog machines, and projectors don't work. I'm not too happy about it, but I'll still ride.

Having Abe's show open back up on his 200th birthday would be a great idea. We could all go wearing little top hat party hats.
