Default Preferred seating for Fantasmic?

Ok guys.....I spoke with reservations today about Fantasmic preferred seating for hubby and I. It is $59 per person and includes desserts and beverages. The only thing is that the upper level balcony seating by pirates is completely booked but they do have availability on the ground level up close. Has anyone ever done this? Is it worth $118 for bottom level seating? I am seven months pregnant so we are willing to splurge a little since this will probably be our last vacation alone for a looooong time. Just want to make sure we're not throwing money away. Thanks:)

I have never experienced either first hand, but I have stood right next to the ground level preferred seating. I didn't think the view they got was worth the $59, since I was literally five feet away from their "exclusive section". The only real perks they had was the dessert buffet (similar to any Home Town Buffet's selection) and they had chairs to sit on with no one in front of you to block your view. In your case since you said you were with child, sitting down could be a real advantage. Question is, is sitting down for the 22 minute Fantasmic show and munching on a brownie worth $59? I'd say the $59 is worth it if you are getting the upper view from the balcony, not on the ground with everyone else. This is just my opinion. I know people who have experienced the preferred ground seating and loved it. It's just not my cup of tea. $59 tea at that

Whatever you decide I hope you and your husband have an excellent trip and let us know if there is anything else we can help/assist with!!!

We just did the balcony seating for the first time a couple of weeks ago. The first day I called (Friday) the balcony was full but they had lower level seats available. I waited and called the next morning at 8:00 and got balcony seats for the Saturday show. I wasn't willing to pay $59.00 for the lower level seats when I could pay the same price for the best seats in the house! In my opinion, the lower level seats should be less than the balcony seats. Like Disney Fan said, why would you want to pay $59.00 for a seat when the people just a few feet from you are watching the show for free??? That's just my opinion, for what it's worth.

My Family booked the preferred seating for Fantasmic a couple of years ago - I was disappointed we couldn't get balcony seating, but we were still glad we booked it. I feel it is worth the money. Be sure to check in with the CM before the seating is actually open - the CM held 5 seats for us in the front row of chairs. My kids really enjoyed the desserts and they had hot chocolate. The CM's made sure we were well taken care of - it is nice to feel like a VIP even if you are paying for it. We would do it again.

I have never tried before, guess we don't want to use extra money for it.

I've not done the ground preferred, but I have done the balcony seating several times, in my opinion, it is REALLY worth it!
