I'm not a fan of Pirates Lair. I like Tom Sawyer's Island much better. Pirates are fun and dandy but Pirate's Lair is too much. Frankly, I prefer the pre-turn of the centruy feel of TSI.

I'm kinda indifferent on the whole pirates thing. I sorta wish they would've left it as it was before just to keep the ride in its original form.

There is something sad about the less-than-a-decade old character Jack Sparrow displacing a timeless, classic character like Tom Sawyer. Sparrow hasn't fired the imagination of generations of people like Tom and Huck have. I want to see their world, not the Lair of some Johnny-Depp-come-lately pirates.

I liked the Pirates films, but I don't like the fact that they have now been infused into two classic attractions as if they deserve it. They don't, IMO.

Also, are they Carribean-River pirates? I don't get it.

Have you ever noticed that Laffite's Landing in POTC is spelled correctly with 2 f's, but the sign on the island over the stunt show area misspells it "Lafite" with only 1 f? That emphasizes for me the fact that Pirates Lair was just kind of thrown together to exploit the pirate fad.

Actually his name was spelled Lafitte. Also Disney Babe, the music has not really changed.

It's changed enough for me. I'm not talking about the song. The way the music is played for some of the ride has changed. I would like the entire soundtrack and audio back exactly as it was.

It hasn't? Ok, check the cave tunnel between drops whose song dropped the lyrics after the changes, only to put them back. Check the waterfall/beach cave directly after that that has new music. Check the Davy Jones' waterfall scene that has new accompianing music. Check the battle scene that has music directly ripped from Curse of the Black Pearl. Need I go on? That is not to say all of the music has changed. Some scenes still have their original scores, but there's way more than enough changes to say the music has significantly changed.

They have added new music but none of it replaced the old music. by the way I kinda like the Cave tunnel without the lyrics. The new cave music is great. One of the few good things they did with the refurb.

Nah... It's way too bright in the caves now. Especially the are leading up to the *shudders to think about the horridness* Davy Jones. That used to be quite dark and you could barely see parts of the ceiling and walls.
