Pirates of the Carribean Confusion

I need to know one website called www.miceage.com says that it opens on June 22nd and Disneyland says the 26th and Visionsfantastic says 24th. Which is it.

My understanding is it has always been Monday the 26th.

The Pirates Party for the movie is on the 24th at Disneyland.

June 24th is the movie premiere in Disneyland and the 26th is the official re-opening of the attraction. Although, according to MiceAge, if the premiere bleachers are removed on time, there maybe a soft opening on the 25th.

As for the 22nd, I didn't see it in the MiceAge report. But it did indicate that the attraction will be ready for passengers by the 18th and there will be a preview for CM's (under some very strict security) the week leading into the premier.

The official date is Monday June 26.

The Mice Age story says that the movie premiere event at Disneyland is Saturday June 24th,
that the attraction might soft-open unanounced on Sunday June 25th if they get the area cleaned up and the bleachers out of the area quickly enough,
but that it's officially scheduled to open on Monday the 26th.

...so June 26th is the only date you can count on.

EDIT: I keep cross posting with peoples today.

That is a bummer. I will be there on the 23, 24, and 25. I hope there is a soft opening on the 25th. If not I will wait until July...

You might just get lucky. Since the movie premiere is the 24th (and you know they have to have the ride done by then), they may just do soft openings on the 25th.

In any case good luck! I can't imagine a visit w/o Pirates!

I had to do a visit without POTC in May. The entire time I felt like something was missing.

june 26th is the official date for the pirates to open. i talked to a cast member a few months ago.he said but dont hold me to this that there might be soft openings in june but i thought it was may. he said dont trust the internet. so look for june as soft openings.

Me and the family are going to Disneyland in less than a week and it is TORTURE to not have pirates...and to think 2 weeks later it will be open. So close!!! Oh well, we picked a good time to go though (besides POTC being closed) cause 2 weeks later...SUMMER CROWDS!!

I can't wait to go! We are going June 24th-30th. My friends and I have aready said we are getting up super early and waiting inline for the park and then run to the hub for the rope drop to right POTC!

We are having a VF meet at 5:30 on June 25th at the Rainforest Café if you are interested.

I'm a little worried about the lines, since we specifically scheduled this trip so Pirates would be re-opened. Our first day in the park is that Monday, the 26th. I would prefer not to wait hours in line for POTC, but am hoping that early in the morning, or very late at night won't be too bad.
