It was called Adventure thru Inner Space. It once occupied the area that is now Star Tours. They have a really cool dvd at www.extinct-attractions-club.com that features the history and ridethrough of the ride.

Journey Through Innerspace was a terrific ride. Through Monsanto's mighty microscope you could travel into the incredible universe found within a tiny fragment of a snowflake, beyond the limits of normal magnifcation.

More about Journey Through Innerspace can be found at www.atommobiles.com

I wish I was old enough to remember it. I went on it as a baby and it closed less than 2 months later. It's one of my favorite old attractions and I love everything about it.

thanks, i wish i could have rode it, it sounds really fun. Was disneyland a more educational place back then than it is today? because when I go there, almost every ride is from a new movie. and now the new rides are from new animated movies(finding nemo, monsters inc.)

Cool educational

Yes Disneyland was more educational, but in a very entertaining way. Like when Frontierland had Native Americans perform their traditional dances for the public, and the Polynesian show at the Tahitian terrace. Tomorrowland had all those factual exhibits. Main Street had more themed stores and less plushy shops. But there was plenty of movie stuff too. It's just that that was the classic period for Disney films, so... Entertainment was always top priority.

one of my favorite rides from the 1980s. i remember going on that ride as a kid and seeing the people getting small in that tube and then the people in the line getting small. that always made me wonder how they did that.

I wish I was alive back then. I always wished I could go back in time and go to Disneyland so I can experience those classic attractions.

Sincerely, a brother of a half-demon,
