Why do I get the feeling that it's too soon for the new monorails to be coming on the line? I mean, they're still having troubles with the first monorail, the red one, and they're already adding the other two. And wasn't the chassis for the orange monorail supposed to be left over from the current Mark V purple one?

The new monorails are reversed engineered from the Mark V's, but they all have new chassis. As for the genealogy of the monorails (what monorail begot which new one), the old Mark V Orange, Blue and Red served a role in the creation of new Mark VII Red, Blue and Orange in that order. The plan was to have Mark V Purple stick around for a while in case there's some drastic problem with the Mark VII's (which is already happening today), and then be scrapped for whatever useful components it has.

With all the money Disney has, why cant they send the red monorail back to wherever it was manufactured and fix it up so that every cabin can have a working ac ....
heck, even start from scratch and make a better "Mark 7 Monorail" ....

^ Yes there are all sorts of issues, the company claimed something like the designs sent to them were labeled WDW, or the track dimensions were wrong. Now I'm not sure who's fault it is, but either way I think the builder needs to fix it up.

Either way I think it's both of their faults. They both should own up to the mistakes and pay into fixing them up. Anyway, I bet it would have been a neat site to see them rolling down the freeway on their trek to Disneyland.

I just got back from Disneyland! I finally rode the Mark VII Monorail Red! I swear, I saw the monorail pull into the station and almost cried. It looks so great. I actually rode it twice, once in the nose and once in the middle cabin. The heat actually wasn't bad but then again there were only 12 people in the car.

Monorail Blue is out testing. It's been spotted by the OC Register.

Well, looking at the pics the OC Register had up, it seems that the Blue Monorail has the same vents on top just like the Red Monorail. And I was hoping they would have had something better in store. I guess not.

Well its a bit hard to tell. The other pictures don't show it, but the last one, you can see it on the last car.

I rode in the nose of the mark VII red in the middle of a hot day and it felt like there was air conditioning coming out of the front. I also noticed that red was not running the day before or possibly even longer. Is it possible that they fixed the problem while it was down?

The monorails only have air-conditioning in the nose and tail cones. The rest of the cabs have to suffer with vents and the new tiny openings the windows only allow.
