Andrew, I think your talking about the old Mark V monorail, the new mark VII blue monorail has arrived at the park, and just has been sitting in the shed. And if your talking about the new one, what is your sources?

I think he meant old Monorail Blue. Red and Purple were the only ones running for awhile. Since they were going to introduce new monorails, they couldn't manufacture parts for something that we going to be obsolete.

The color of the carpet is the giveaway on which train you are riding on. Red carpet for Red, etc.

I haven't been back to take a picture of the sign for the announcement at the entrance to the Monorail Station in Tomorrowland. Maybe this weekend.

^Blue has been there since the 11th of April. Here are some pix http://darkbeer.smugmug.com/gallery/...78216416_Awrei

Its all wrapped up, Red wasn't when it came in, but you can tell its blue because of the top railing on it.

The Mark VII Monorail Blue has not left the storage shed since it arrived on the property. As the new Monorail Red is tested, Monorail Blue is also being modified based on needs discovered in/on Monorail Red. If anyone has any specific questions, let me know and i may be able to get the answer for you.

The Mark VII monorail attraction poster is releasing on June 8, accompanied by a signing. I'm not sure who exactly is going to sign it...

The new windows on the Mark VII look like the kind of windows used on older minivans, and from personal minivan experience they don't cool as efficiently as regular "rolling" windows. And even then, the monorail needs to be moving in order for those "flip out" windows to get any kind of cross ventilation, and the train spends a good amount of time stopped in Tomorrowland in full sun.

Perhaps the power problems for the AC could be fixed with a battery and solar charge setup, or use a similar battery setup as the Nemo subs...of course that doesn't help the weight problem...

I wonder what the fan setup is. Are they drawing in air from the roof, or are they drawing in air at all? I think the real problem is the lack of cross ventilation--it wasn't too unbearable in the AC-less Mark Vs because of their window design, but the Mark VII looks like its going to be a hot box with those minimally open windows that don't allow cross ventilation.

Not knowing the design details, maybe they should increase fan speed and include a fan exhaust of the cabins along with a fan intake--anything to keep the air moving through the cabin.

They brought blue out for the first time to make a run tonight. Awesome. Means blue is now on the track ready for tests etc etc.

Well the first problem is fixed, the one where they couldn't get it onto the line. The second problem is AC, and they still aren't sure how to fix it. Once they figure it out for red then they can fix it for blue. There probably just experimenting and trying to figure out how to solve the AC issue.
