Looks like this all is pretty likely, so this thread has now become the official 'Monorail Mark VII" thread.

Hmmm... At first I read some of these post and wasn't too excited. I love that old monorail. But some new changes and such like the picture would actually look really good!

I hope it works out

Well if you wanted to see the same kinds of objections that Pirates is getting, make like WDW & put Stitch on the trains & in the spiel. That was pretty sad.

^^^(To DisneyGeek06) Yeah, as long as they don't change it into "Woody and Buzz's Happy-Fun-Time Monorail of Adventure" or some other crazy idea. The monorail seems to be the only ride/attraction at Disneyland that's immune from controversial movie-merger-makeovers (call them what you will, good or bad) and still maintains the same "world on the move" Tomorrowland concept.

^^^EDIT: This was an almost simultaneous post!

It didn't have background music as someone stated above, but in addition to the narrator, there were other voices in the background when the monorail approached the Disneyland Hotel, left the hotel, approached the Tomorrowland station and left the station. they would give the monorail/narrator permission to leave/depart the stations and the person talking to the passengers was different than today, todays speil sounds more like it did in the 80's. It's too plain and boring for my taste, but they did have to change it when they opened the DTD station, but in my personal opinion they didn't have to remove the other voices and narrator. But thats progress for you...
